This news is just awful. I kept hoping all night that she would get better. I can't believe this is even happening. I repeat, my thoughts of support and good wishes go to her, her husband, her mother, her kids, and all her loved ones.

If I'm not mistaken it's now up to Liam whether to hope for that miracle or just end it now and use this tragedy to help others (ie donating her organs).

As expected, TMZ is following this minute-to-minute:

UPDATE 2:00 PM ET -- The hospital tells TMZ Richardson is sedated and suffering from brain swelling -- but is not brain dead.

UPDATE: 1:37 PM ET -- We're told Richardson's jet was scheduled to take off from Montreal-Trudeau Airport. A rep for the airport said the jet is either still there or has just taken off.

We're told Natasha Richardson has been transported from the hospital in Canada via ambulance. CTV says she boarded a private jet -- we do not know where the jet has gone, but we believe it's New York City.

Richardson was accompanied by a medic team for the flight.

According to the Toronto Star- the plane left 20 mins ago, no confirmed destination but probably New York. Supposed "close friends"(!!) have given information that she is "brain dead"
highly unlikely if they were transfering her to another facility.

You've got to believe in a higher power and that's the only way.

If it's a subdural hematoma (which is what it sounds like), she may survive. A good surgeon will make all the difference. Since we don't know what's really going on, everything is speculation at this point. Positive thoughts going out to her & her entire family.

Until CNN and all the major news media states anything official... everything right now is heresay.

Everyone seems to want to be the ones to claim "we posted it first!".

My prayers are with her and her family right now.
