I agree with pianolin: It is NOT her time yet.

You're very quick Eris. I just came over here to post that link, for some to read...or not.
Yes, it seems that the world's press sat on it a bit today, but is less reluctant to print what was going around earlier.

Just because it isn't official, doesn't make it any less likely or true. I suppose it just may make some feel better, for a while anyway.
Again, I don't wish ill of her, quite the opposite, but I'm not one to ignore likely possibility simply because an official status is lacking. If things turn out untrue, all the better.

I hope these reports turn out to be untrue. But there are so many of them. Could they all be wrong? I have my hope but, sadly, it's looking less and less likely she'll pull out of it.

And how freakish I just so happened I was watching Maid in Manhattan on Saturday for the first time in probably a couple of years.
(With another strange coincidence that I happened to be watching it with the mother of one the extras who was one of the backup singers in the band at the gala in it and I had no idea they were related. What strange fate.)

TMZ hasn't been updated in 7 hours. More recent reports all say "brain dead" unfortunately.

I really hope they're wrong, such a wonderful and gifted woman, it would be a travesty to lose her in such a freak accident way. And I can't even imagine how the family is feeling.

I don't care what every outlet is saying, it's speculation.

I don't believe a word until I hear something official.

It doesn't matter how sad, tragic, or sordid the story is, the media thrives on nothing but shady negativity. We don't know what's going on, sources are just heresay, no matter who they're labeled as.

Just hope, pray and wait.

the only thing we know for sure (besides that the incident happened) is that the family is going to release a statement tomorrow, so, until then, we cannot believe everything as the truth

I think I read that OK story was removed that they cite.

AP is saying someone tells them she's in town now. Though someone on Larry King brought up and interesting point...they say she's coming to NY, but not necessarily that she's in/going to a hospital. Could mean something or nothing.

My heart stopped when I heard this. She is genuine beautiful and brilliant performer. I hope these reports are exaggerations. It would be a unbearable tragedy for the the theatre and the show biz in general to lose such a phenomenal thespian.

I noticed that myself. They're either keeping the name of the hospital/treatment center out of the presses because the family wants their privacy or she's not at any sort of facility.

I won't believe any of these news reports--like that UPI report--until they cite a named source.

Until then, they're just recycling the same old hearsay.

A big part of me really doesn't want to believe any of these awful reports, but as they pile up it becomes increasingly difficult to. I will wait until something is released from the family and, until then, just keep her in my prayers. Either way, it's a real tragedy and such a random event.
