It means she has another project, I don’t know who is going to annouce it, but it’s not wicked. She can do other things that isn’t wicked. Ginna Clarie is allowed to have another Elphaba.

I agree Ariana DeBose would be an amazing Elphaba I also think Samantha Barks would be really good but she's in Pretty Woman.

I'd love to see GC with Alison Luff or Emmy Raver-Lampman. They are both really different than a lot of her previous Elphabas and that would be cool to watch.

It's about time Alison Luff performs the role on Broadway it's amazing how it hasn't happened yet.

It's someone you've heard of, not a celebrity. Also, someone brand new to the show who is making their Broadway debut.

That makes me worry it is some celebrity stunt casting.  I would hope Wicked is a strong enough show still not to have to resort to stunt casting the leading ladies.  Unless \_(•_&bull_/ is suggesting that Chelsea jumps from tour standby to full time Elphie.  That could be interesting.

It's probably not Chelsea because wicked4l said "it's someone you've heard of, not a celebrity. Also, someone brand new to the show who is making their Broadway debut."

I've been reading this over and over trying to think of who it might be all we know is 

- Broadway Name but not known Nationally 

- New to Wicked 

- Never on Broadway 

It is probably someone who has done a role on a US Tour, Off-Broadway or West End that is almost or as equally demanding as Elphaba.

Kaitlyn Davis (Current u/s Christine in the Phantom tour who's had two runs as Principal) has said several times that Elphaba is her dream role and there's audio of her singing Wizard & I on her website . She also posted in her story last year on her learning Wicked lines. She told me and it's on her website that she's back in Phantom through July though


I was about to say Ariana Grande but she's touring and was in 13...
