No!!!!
poop. I was hoping Drowsy would win.
Jersey BOys, WTF
Clearly there was some ill wind tonight for Miss Patti. First, Joanna Gleason introduces the "Sweeney Todd" ensemble. (Patti LuPone lost the Tony to J.G., who won for "Into the Woods".) Second, the actress known as Cruella De Ville is introduced with music from "Sunset Boulevard".... while Patti was in the audience... a role PATTI LUPONE should have played on Broadway!!!! Definitely some negative energy in the theatre.
Now, I'll have to eat crow and find that American Premiere Recording of "Sunset Boulevard" with G.C. and listen to her "singing" of "With One Look" and "As If We Never Said Goodbye". What a bitter pill to swallow!!!!!

The committee got it right this year.
I just don't understand how you can have the best score and the best book and not be the best musical?

Boo! I wanted Drowsy! But congrats to them...
Urinetown redux.
Night, y'all!
Yay Jersey Boys!
(beh if the show had been about 5 mins shorter it would have fit on my VHS :P)
"Although Drowsy still did better, all things considered :)"
??????
Drowsy-Best Score, Best Book, Best Featured Actress, Best Costume Design, Best Set Design
Jersey-Best Lighting Design, Best Featured Actor, Best Leading Actor, Best Musical
I think the folks at Drowsy would surrender a Tony or 2 for a leading Tony or a Best Musical Tony
Quibbler...JERSEY BOYS wasn't eligible for one of those awards.
So they weren't a solid prediction.

I concur. Drowsy was 100% original. It deserved to win.

Wow...JLY's girlfriend was an after thought. He bolted out of his seat. Cerveris looked disappointed. I'm sure he and Manoel will go out, get drunk and get laid.
Jersey couldnt win best score... and thats by far not the first time thats happened
