It is also entirely possible that they may hire some of the originals as understudies.
Personally, I’d be THRILLED to see Anne Fraser Thomas come back as a u/s for Molly Brown, especially since her debut in QOV was chopped short

An advertisement for this just appeared on my Facebook feed and it has a ton of comments, not a negative one among them. Stuff praising the casting, saying they can’t wait to see it, etc, etc. The advertiser may be deleting negative comments but what is in the comments section is all positive toward the show.

Anna Kendrick would be perfect casting! She has the goat vibrato just like Cassadee Pope.

The whole show is pretty thankless except Celine. It's a one Celine joke show.

Still wondering if they're going to use more than 4 musicians.

It'll be up at TKTS for every performance, 50% off. Can't believe these producers are thinking people will pay $100+ to see this off-Broadway show."
just wait for the mailer with discount code. why would anyone pay these prices in advance for this cast so far announced.

the union needs to go after it.

Isn't the St James orchestra a minimum of 26? Orchestrations will need to be expanded.

How is titanique getting away with this ?

Do we think they’ll dress the show up more or is it going to the be the Off Broadway set? I know the Chicago was a non replica production!

I feel like there will be some influence from the UK production in how it’s scaled up. (Granted, I’m not sure what that exactly entails)

The Union will definitely take action if needed. The minimum at the St James is 19. Let's say that the 802 special situations clause allows them half of the minimum, a la Here Lies Love. There's no way that Titanique, on a 12 week run, is going to spend the money on boosting a 4 piece orchestration to 9 or 10. The same thing is happening with Beaches. They've already requested 9 (I believe) which is less than the 24 minimum at the St. James. This is where we are.

They absolutely have to have 26 musicians?

Anna Kendrick is horrible casting for this. But so indicative of her boringness that she chooses this for her return to Broadway.

Apparently the casting team is working overtime to land star value.

James Marsden is 52 years old. Who are they going to cast him as? Old Rose?

Agreed. Lifeless, boring and ruined what could have been a great The Last Five Years film. No one was going to see it except us anyways, so money was never a factor. It should have been Betsy Wolfe without a bad wig and nasal bird voice.
James Marden is funny but he is filming Paradise, so I sincerely doubt that's true.

Why is the guy from Sonic the Hedgehog 1, 2, and 3 rumored to be in this now?

This somehow gets messier and messier with each rumor / announcement.

As my profile picture may imply, I would LOVE TO FINALLY SEE HER ON STAGE.
(I did not think she was well-cast in TL5Y.)

I suppose technically the timing could still work depending on all the particulars, but according to this article, Anna Kendrick has a six hour limited series that starts filming next month in Europe which likely rules her out.

How does one pronounce the name of this show? Since it's sort of French-ified, I've been assuming it's something like /tita'nik/ (tea-tan-'eek). But perhaps it's more like tie-tan-eek, a hybrid of the English and French. Any thoughts?
