Why is the guy from Sonic the Hedgehog 1, 2, and 3 rumored to be in this now?

You mean the guy who has 2 Emmy nominations, 5 SAG Award nominations (1 for a musical!), 3 Critics Choice noms and starred in multiple $100+ million grossing movies? I get you’re trying to make a point but to act like he doesn’t have any bonafides is just disingenuous.

I realize it’s the biz and hardly the first time it’s happened, but stacking the cast with names to goose the box office and passing over the many great performers who did the show when it was anything but a sure thing feels a little lousy.

A lot of people have been waiting for James Marsden to do broadway since Hairspray. I actually think he would be great in the Billy Zane role.

S2 of Paradise is most likely complete since it premieres next month so he might have spring/early summer available.

I'm just trying to be a little silly.

Sadly Broadway is training audiences to appreciate celebrity over quality. Pluck X celeb and center them in X random piece, rinse and repeat. It's not creative, it's not exciting and the industry will continue to suffer as originality becomes  endangered.

This is selling so poorly. Somehow, the producers thought "The people who never saw this over the last three years in New York or Australia or Canada or London? They will ALL want to see this now at $250 a ticket".

We all knew, just like we all knew about Tammy Faye. Why don't they?

TodayTix app has a sale currently for Titanique.  I was able to get a third row mezz aisle seat for $99 yesterday for a performance mid May.  Lots of good seats for $118, $99, $90.  Also several in the back mezz for $63 and $60.  Check it out.  Balcony isn't for sale.

That's still completely overpriced. Goddamn.

I would hope so, as previews start in 5.5 weeks.

They were trying to court some bigger names for the remaining three principals and could not strike a deal with any of them, hence why it's taking this long to announce the full cast.

I believe that Layton Williams (!) is coming over from London as the Iceberg and Carrie St. Louis is Rose, but I'm not 100% sure if John Riddle is reprising his Cal.

Rehearsals start next week, and the full cast announcement should come by the end of this week.

Riddle is reprising Cal. (Morrison is actually going to be the interim Bobby Darin after all).

Rose will be a familiar face from the IN THE HEIGHTS movie.

Doesn't sound like those names are going to help them raise money or sell tickets. Both of which they desperately need help with.

DAPHNE RUBIIN-VEGA?!?
"

Rose is a young adult role. So, Leslie Grace or Melissa Barrera. Not that any of these names makes a difference, honestly.
