Did I misread the noms, or did Irena's Vow get a nom but NOT Tovah Feldshuh???
Madbrain - I don't get it either. I was really hoping to see her name on the list, as well as some more noms for 9 TO 5.
I don't get what they are thinking in a LOT of these categories!

REALLY? REALLY? REALLY!
That is all soooooooooo wrong!
No 9 to 5? Janney or Kudish?
No Exit the King for revival or direction?
No Wonderettes?
The guys in Hair?
I'm happy for some of the people on that list...I just don't know if they all deserve to be there. There are soooooo many things wrong with that list. Clearly someone was enjoying 4/20 a little too much and read the list wrong
This is madness!! I am in such a shock that Stephanie J. Block didn't get a nomination. that is insane! She's phenomenal as Judy
This is hilarious! What a freaking joke.
The thing I'm most irritated about, I think, is that 9 TO 5 wasn't nominated for their design aspects. And totally deserved a Best Musical nod.
I hope d'Arcy James wins.

Nothing for Next to Normal? I mean, it opened both off and on Broadway this season. Is there some technical reason why it wasn't eligible for anything?
Ducks in to say I am very happy for the three nominations that ROOMS received.
/Let the 9 to 5 talk continue...
It's ineligible for the OCC and DD awards. It was nominated for both last season for the Off-Bway production.
Congrats to A Tale of Two Cities. Whoever said it's worse than Cry-Baby...well I didn't think so. Everyone in that company/whose been involved for years deserves it :).
Is the reason 9to5 got one or two nominations due to the fact that it's yet to open?
The Outer Critics Circle Awards are a joke. I'd compare them to the Golden Globes. The Drama Desk Awards will be more telling (the SAGS of Broadway). Calm down everyone. YF got a slew of Outer Critics noms last year and we know how that turned out.
philly03, DROWSY CHAPERONE received 11 nominations a few years ago, the most of any show, and it was still in previews at the time.
These are amazing, Rock of Ages and TOTC nominated for best musical and 9 to 5 snubbed lolol
9 to 5 really deserved a nomination...but the OCC awards are a joke anyway, so it doesn't matter. 9 to 5 will get a Tony nom for Best Musical.
Also what happened to ROAD SHOW? I hope Drama Desk doesn't snub it either.
LOL these are hilarious. They mean nothing in the scheme of things, I hope no one at 9 to 5 is worried. They'll do just fine in the Tony's. My only worry is that Megan's nod might influence the producers to push her for leading, which would just be a mistake.
These are the guys who awarded Young Frankenstein best musical last season.
So blah blah these awards mean nothing, but it made me really happy to see A Tale of Two Cities nominated for Best Musical.

For those who are talking about N2N not getting anything:
"NOTE:
The play Dividing The Estate was considered last season and won the Outer Critics Circle Award for Outstanding New Off-Broadway Play. The musical Next to Normal was also considered last year (nominated in three categories including Outstanding Off-Broadway Musical, Outstanding Score & Outstanding Actress) and won the OCC Award for Outstanding Score."
I'd like to know if Burnstein and Luker were able to keep straight-faces while reading these noms this morning.
Is Kathy Fitzgerald's role in 9 to 5 really large enough to be considered in a major acting category?
She was nominated for Featured. It's definitely a Featured role. People with smaller roles have been nominated for Featured Actress/Actor at the Tonys and WON, so yes, it's large enough.
"Also what happened to ROAD SHOW? I hope Drama Desk doesn't snub it either."
Same here, and if they do, they'll be hearing from me.
Out of genuine curiosity... It seemed like everyone was so sure the producers would petition Hilty down to featured for the Tonys. Will her being considered lead either alter THEIR thinking or make it more difficult for them to since she's been considered lead for these?
All you need to know about the credibility of the Outer Critics Circle Awards is this...
Corine Cohen is one of their voters/ members.
Also, look at some of these other members and their "credentials":
Carolyn Albert- www.trekortreat.com
Bary Bassis- New York Resident (this may be my favorite of all)
Bernard Carragher- Catholic Transcript
Jamie deRoy- Jamie deRoy and Friends (what exactly does that mean??)
Kenneth Frydman- (NOTHING- Seriously, he had no credential listed!!)
Michall Jeffers- Michall Jeffers TV
Nancy Leonard- no credential
Ros Lipps- "Lippservice" Celebrity Consultant
There are other questionable ones, but those are my favorites.
Mind you, there are some qualified people, but the fact that those people get to vote is insane.
