Well we don't know when that will shoot –– it could be 18 months from now, or Billy could have been attached to this for years before the announcement. I never expected Billy to stay with Mr. Saturday Night longer than ~10 months. The show is currently on sale through September 4. Maybe it opens up a block of tickets through New Year's Day if there's demand, but I don't know what the show's advance looks like. There's a ton of inventory for July & August.

I think Company will be dependent on who replaces Patti and Katrina, assuming they don't re-sign. I also think a limited run Jonathan Bailey casting would generate sales for them if they can time it around his Bridgerton schedule.

When and if PSQ closes, what do you think the investors will lose? I here close $15 million. How does the bond work? Who is protected ?

Paradise Square owes so much money to so many people it really makes the Shubert's (and anyone who believes Garth) look bad that they are letting him get away with all of this. From multiple sources he owes money to the theatre owners, he owes all of the production stagehands benefits, he owes the production management company money, he owes everyone who worked in Chicago for the show money. Luckily the people who have unions are filing grievances left and right but yet he is still pretending like he is the King of Broadway! Anyone who invests in this show basically either knows they will never see a dime of money back or maybe they are hoping they can get a tour out of it and see if that will help them recoup. Garth pretending like his show is a HIT can only last so much longer. Joaquina is wonderful but then why are they still papering the houses? My friend went today because they got a free ticket. Honestly if this show was produced by any SMART producer they would have closed already... once a fraud, always a fraud. I just hope this charade doesn't last too much longer, I want to see Almost Famous go to the Barrymore. If this doesn't close next week or the week after I think Almost Famous will go to the Belasco instead.

It's 3 days after the Tonys and it looks like those imminent 'closing' signs have not been hung up on the doors, yet. "Paradise Square" and "POTUS" are still dancing onward.

Bet the investors aren't dancing.

I don’t know what the other unions require, but the Equity bond is two weeks worth of salary and benefits. Should a producer default on payments that provides at least some cushion for Equity members (and hopefully if there are issues members are going to the union before it gets beyond two weeks’ worth of payments).

It can't possibly helping PARADISE SQUARE that they refuse to make their discount code available on weekends. I mean, practically the entire theatre is empty this coming Saturday night but no available discount code that I can find. The BroadwayBox one is only good weeknights. It's pretty ridiculous.

Well... I feel like this is about Garth's Ego... that's why there are no discounts. It's a giant facade,

Paradise Square is not moving. They are losing money every single week. Lol.

Honestly just throw up signs "Come see the Best Actress winner for $50" and call it a day.

I'm sure they'll start stunt-casting/star-casting Company in the winter.

They would need to announce this soon if Patti & Katrina's contracts are indeed up in early October because that and September are some of the worst periods for sales. They'll need ample time for those post-Patti perfs to fill in. Let's face it, if Katrina doesn't continue, the grosses wouldn't suffer in the same way.

My guess is that Patti might stay on and they'll star cast Bobbie.
Apparently some pretty big names were approached and interested initially, but Sondheim really wanted Katrina (who I think is brilliant in the role btw).

Heather Headley and Cassie Levy were the others of the final 3 they were looking at for Bobbie. This came after Anne Hathaway passed due to being pregnant and Laura Benanti passed following her not-so-great experience with My Fair Lady.
I would guess Patti is the most likely to go. She's been with the show for 4 years counting London. She has two replaced hips and a new shoulder. She's been very candid about how rough musicals are on her body and lets not forget she swore them off before Marianne approached her post-War Paint. She's also due to start filming a couple projects that have been in the pipeline.

You don't need a discount code when you're on papering services, TDF, and TKTS for pretty much every single performance ![]()

per friends that work on the production,,,,, they have been talking about closing for months but Garth won’t let it happen. They already have a cash flow issue so no matter when they decide to close they don’t have enough $$. The only way they are getting out is if the shuberts invoke the stop clause, which they won’t because for some reason they’re afraid Garth will sue them.

Wait so are you saying Paradise Square has been running against the will of everyone involved outside of its lead producer? People are not getting paychecks and still going on as usual because they are that scared of Garth?
