Remember that many said the same about OPERATION MINCEMEAT, and yet it continues to have the steadiest business out of a majority of the shows still running. I have zero worries about the potential success of PADDINGTON since it’s a wonderfully whimsical show based on internationally known IP. The only potential downfall I can foresee is producers getting too greedy too early and making tickets price inaccessible to families.

No one need question Sonia Friedman when it comes to budgeting a show (Stranger Things aside), that's what I'll say. No single actor is going to blow the bank I promise you that."

When I talked about names in my post, I meant Broadway veterans. I don't think they need too many. I am worried they will blow up the budget too much, but maybe they won't be paid as much as I thought. I know they are not going to cast Bette Middler as Mrs. Bird.

I really think this is going to be a popular show regardless of the cast.
