they showed Out Tonight - I guess they can do that on late night tv. Rosario talked about the usual stuff, growing up in the East Village, being a newbie in the cast. Stewart asked if there was any hazing or anything, she said something like "no its cool its all love" and Stewart said, "did anyone give you problems. was it that jesse martin? I'll f*ck him up" or something along those lines.
Heeeeee, why do I love Jon Stewart so much? The show is mostly political, I know nothing about American politics, and I STILL want to watch every night. So funny!
that was hillarious! the hot tub story was great! oh john stewart!
"At the opening night party, they had clowns on stilts, jugglers, a chocolate fountain, popcorn, hot dogs. [My son] looked at me like I had been holding back. Like, 'This is what you do?' I had to tell him, 'No, no, darling. Opening nights don't usually look like this.' It's usually a dark bar with a bottle of vodka." ?Chitty Chitty Bang Bang's Jan Maxwell

Ugh, watching that reminds me how much I need to get a TV- I miss The Daily Show!
I love that they could show the Out Tonight clip. And I love even more that they joked about why they could show the Out Tonight clip. John Stewart is so awesome, I'm so glad they're promoting Rent on his show.

For those like me who missed it, The Daily Show from 11 is rerunning and Rosario is on now.
"If there was a Mount Rushmore for Broadway scores, "West Side Story" would be front and center. It snaps, it crackles it pops! It surges with a roar, its energy and sheer life undiminished by the years" - NYPost reviewer Elisabeth Vincentelli
so surprise appearance no one quite knew about - today on the today show the entire cast (all 8 of them) sang Finale B. I just flipped on the channel and caught what I think was most of it. I missed the interview with Jesse.
I'm kind of upset there was no notice. The whole crowd was people on vacation
"I love America more than any other country in the world, and exactly for this reason, I insist on the right to criticize her perpetually."

it was quite unexpected - especially since so many of the cast is/or was supposed to be on the Today Show this week. They definitely NEVER said anything about a performance. Hopefully someone can upload it, especially since it was the first time they've sang Finale B.
yeah as i was setting up my tape for regis and kelly, i saw the end of the interview and than finale b on teh today show. however ionly tapedhalf of the song. Oh well at least i got a little bit. One day till i see rent!

GREAT interview with Jesse...seems so sweet. NBC usually puts clips on their site...perhaps tomorrow or Friday there will be footage online of Finale B.
The Today show almost always puts their segments up online, so I hope the performance is put up as well.
Jesse was so cute on Regis and Kelly, especially when he was talking about people coming up to him not knowing he could sing. The Santa Fe clip ended rather abruptly though, it was like a shot of the back of Angel's head, mid-line. Hmm. I guess they didn't want to say "hell" on morning television

I loved Jesse's interview. He seems so genuinely sweet.
I am lucky I caught it. I was coming home sick from work and stopped at my mother's place to pick up my computer (my brother was repairing it). I walked in the door and she just points at the TV. I squealed with delight and momentarily forgot how crappy I felt.
