Justin Johnson played Angel in the Broadway company for
six years. I understand that a job is a job and (especially in this economy) a paycheck is a paycheck, but don't some of these people want to move on in their careers?
The same can be said for Karmine Alers, who appeared in the show on Broadway for almost ten years after a short stint with the second touring company.
I know Mimi is almost never cast age appropriately, but Alers continuing to cover a character who is nineteen but appears even younger is taking it to a whole new extreme of ridiculousness (regardless of how "good" people find her to be in the role.)
Tonya Pinkins: Then we had a "Lot's Wife" last June that was my personal favorite. I'm still trying to get them to let me sing it at some performance where we get to sing an excerpt that's gone.
Tony Kushner: You can sing it at my funeral.
