If Mimi dies at the end in this production, I'll be pissed.

ATTENTION FANS: I will be played by James Barbour in the upcoming musical, "BroadwayWorld: The Musical."
i personally, have seriously high hopes for these changes. I think this could be really really great, although I have no better guesses than you guys do as to what the changes may be. However, I think that if the director made the changes himself it can't be too big a deal, so probably no lyric changes or moving songs. Most likely just some blocking, and i personally would love if they did the finale the way they did in the alternate movie ending.
And also, I believe that if Anthony is happy about the changes that is definitely a good thing. I can't wait to see this tour in DC in May. (and am very bummed that it leaves the night i come back from school, so I'll only be able to see it once.)
The most moving thing ever was in the Swedish production (A crap production unfortunately)....In "Goodbye Love" , if I remember correctly, Angel is seen stripping off all his makeup. Going from the glamorous and beautiful Angel, to the naked and dying Angel. Absolutely gorgeously staged (hmmm, I can write better than that...what a bad sentence) and incredibly moving! ^that sounds beautiful. And Mimi WILL.NOT.DIE. It would completely destroy Larson's original concept, and they would not let that happen, especially with original cast members and production members on board. I like the idea of a still of Larson at the end but I find it highly unlikely as he isn't a character in the show, he did not die of AIDS, and other than RENThead crazies and theatre buffs, nobody will know who he was.
Literally two people in the whole world liked Rent: Remixed, husk_charmer and... CONAries, I think is the other one (sorry if I'm wrong and slandering your name!). I'm pretty sure they're intelligent people who understand that the unpopularity of their opinion means the show probably just plain wasn't any *good*.
When's the tour kicking off anyway? What are the chances of us leaving idle speculation alone until someone has seen the tour and can report back to us? :3
it opens the 6th. i've got friends going that night.

Although it's doubtful that these 'big changes' will include Mimi dying, those of you who are protesting that possibility so strongly should know that that did, indeed, happen in a couple of the international productions of the show through the years. It's not as impossible a suggestion as some are making it out to be.
I don't think it's an impossible suggestion, universally. I do think it's extremely unlikely under this particular circumstances, given the information we've got. It seems -- to me, at least -- like exactly what the article is saying it's not.
LOL Maybe the cast will put out! in the video justin Johnston said "The more you scream and participate the more we put out!" Maybe everyone in the cast will put out? XD
That would be a change that woulden't effect the show but it would be a change.
Maybe the tour has more items for people to purchase?
Maybe during christmas bells the vendors will sell some new items?
Maybe the cast is going to throw stuff at the audience? Or make it snow on us during Christmas bell?
I'm seeing the show feb 6th at 2 so I'll be there screaming like an idiot.
Have some respect. You don't scream in a theatre EVER! If it was Patti LuPone playing Mimi, she would threaten your very life in the middle of Out Tonight!

Now THAT'S a good production of RENT!
You're reminding me of people you hear at the movies asking questions every ten seconds, "Who is that? Why is that guy walking down the street? Who's that lady coming up to him? Uh-oh, why did that car go by? Why is it so dark in this theater?" - FindingNamo on strummergirl

"They say that just being relaxed is the most important thing [in acting]. I take that to another level, I think kinda like yawning and...like being partially asleep onstage is also good, but whatever." - Sherie Rene Scott
