I just realized that since Rob was in the 25th anniversary Les Mis concert, that's 3 people in that concert that are currently doing shows in NYC (with Nick Jonas and Ramin Karimloo)
And, as hinted at earlier in this thread, the title stems from a lyric in "Beggars at the Feast."

This would have been a gem off-broadway for a few months and then hopefully would have traveled around to a few other cities, having now seen it, truly baffling that anyone would have tried to bring it straight to Broadway."
The play was in the West End so maybe that’s why.
i do think this show could have gone the Oh Mary route and start off-Broadway first. Build word of mouth and if it seems like there’s demand for it, bring it to Broadway.

And Norm Lewis also, if his play’s still running.

I literally thought of Lea Salonga but told myself that was 10th anniversary, not 20th--forgot she also played Fantine! Forgot about Norm Lewis though do that one's on me. I'm sure Rob doesn't have time for it but it would be cool for them to do a picture or sonething haha

Thank you! Today’s matinee was on club free time last night. I don’t know if it’s still there. There is a talkback after the performance today.

There’s a chance that at least one of the seven people in the audience that night post on these boards.

Ha! Yes I was at the final show on Sunday. They moved us all down to front mezz so that was nice.
As others have said, the show was very funny and quite moving! I admit I had tears at several points.
There was a talkback afterwards but I had to run so I wasn’t able to stay and watch.

does the orchestra only hold 7? Cause that was full. And the mezzanine had quite a few too.
pretty sure that’s more than 7 people… hmmmm
Are you one of the incompetent producers on this or something?
“Hey, Siri, please define ‘hyperbole.’”
For the record, I saw the show and was happy to support it. I just can’t believe they put it up in that cavernous barn.

Ah, the insufferable shill accusation. Nope. Just think Rob’s a terrific person and performer, and found the show moving, funny and memorable. And I believe that we should SUPPORT our fellow “show people” instead of constantly tearing them down.
Stay miserable, Kad.
and totallyeffed, if you were happy to support it, you wouldn’t post things like “only 7 people went”.
I don’t understand why some of you claim that you love theater because it’s so obviously you hate it. You hate everything about it. You hate the people involved, you hate the shows you see, you hate the community around it. So why are you here? Because none of your behavior actually suggest that you care about this industry
