He is, though. Aside from the live action BatB, his most recognizable film role is in the Fast & Furious franchise as Jason Statham's brother."
He isn't though. The last F&F movie that he wasn't just a cameo in was in 2013.

A Frank who scares or intimidates the audience away from participating or having fun might work for some kind of another (god forbid) film remake but in person that can’t work with what this show has become."
Frank is transgressive to Brad and Janet, and an amoral psycho, but to the audience, he is Warhol. He is the ultimate party host building an atmosphere that is dangerous to the squares... but the audience should never primarily empathize with Brad and Janet.
Are Brad and Janet MAGA?
I think it's more that Brad and Janet are the fifties, crash-landing into the hedonism and liberation of the sixties, which chewed a lot of people up and spat them out before crashing into the more alienated and cynical seventies.

I definitely could see Luke Evans doing well as Frank. (I also agree Austin Butler as Rocky would be great... but unlikely). I really think Corbin Bleu will be Brad.
"
I really doubt Chalamet was ever seriously in the mix for this.
Now that I’ve thought about it more, I really do wish it was Bailey. He loves being on stage and has spoken at length about his love of Oh Mary. I’m keeping hope alive until it’s announced. Then I can deal with the disappointment. 🤣
No idea who to cast as Frank but here’s my pitch for the rest.
Janet- Gracie Lawrence
Brad- Casey Likes
Columbia- Miley Cyrus (with the 2000 Joan Jett keys)
Riff Raff- Mike Wartella
Magenta- Talia Suskauer or Jasmine Amy Rogers
Narrator- Ginger Minj
Rocky- Sydney James Harcourt
Eddie/Dr. Scott- Alan H. Green or Alex Brightman

Okay, Jasmine Amy Rogers as Magenta is brilliant
Not sure if this has been posted yet….. but Jennifer Simard’s recent pinned TikTok suggests that she’s possibly in the cast? Magenta or Columbia? But omg what I would give to see a Jen Simard Frank!
Also, scrolling FB I saw an article about how Glen Powell auditioned for the role Sam in Glee but his roommate Chad Overstreet got the role. The article used a photo of Glen and a photo of Chad as Rocky from Glee. So when I saw the image of the two of them before reading the headline I immediately thought Glen Powell was cast as Frank and Chadoverstreet as Rocky. 🤣
But omg what I would give to see a Jen Simard Frank!
Hell YES!

I don't see how it suggests that... There's a lot of Rocky talk in general right now with the 50th Anniversary.

“I see you shiver with an-ti-ci-pation!” That specific reference from the show is what she’s referencing. Anticipation about casting and the upcoming revival < 50th anniversary.

That's a pretty big reach. Especially if she were in the show and not actually playing Frank lol.

I don’t think it’s a reach. Def think she’s involved after 3 Rocky Horror posts. The one she pinned is the anticipation one which the Rocky Horror Instagram posted half of. They’re waiting on the “…pation”

After seeing the tiktoks being referenced, I would think that if she was in the show that those posts would be considered a breach of some sort of NDA, so I doubt she's involved :/

Absolutely. Ever since social media exploded many years ago, now contracts include an NDA clause regarding postings on social media accounts, which is why you only see photos or any announcements once their embargo is lifted. Usually it’s after the official announcements are made. This is why you see the standard “now that I can finally reveal…” opening remark.
A friend works on SNL and he is contractually forbidden to tell anyone of the future hosts already locked in though only the first 3 have been officially announced. He won’t even let us guess.
Unrelated to this revival, but the recently released book of photographer Mick Rock's behind-the-scenes photography of the filming of Rocky Horror is truly fabulous.
That looks SO good. Thank you, Kad!

looking at pre-sale prices, it looks like the first 4 weeks of the run have significantly cheaper tickets (the range goes jumps from $49-$269 to $83-318). i'm a newb to this stuff but is this standard? if not, any possible explanations?

The short answer is there are no rules.
Lower-priced previews used to be more common. Sometimes shows start at one price then jump up based on demand (or anticipated demand). It also incentivizes people seeing it early when a show is trying to build WOM. The early weeks are also when Roundabout's subscribers will see it.

Exactly. And if this was done as part of marketing, why would it only be her and why would it be her lip syncing a role she likely wasn't even in conversations for as great as she would have been at it. Or maybe she was in conversation for it and ultimately they decided against it and that's the reason why she did the TikTok. Jennifer just is a TikTok Girlie and they love her there, there doesn't need to be deeper motivations for it.

He has an Oscar-bait movie coming out later this year and the show will be starting previews around Oscar time so yeah I don't think it was ever a serous consideration either.

Luke Evans is being shopped around as part of Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil but I don't think they have a theater so maybe he is interested in a back up plan to be on Broadway this season.

What I would GIVE for a Jennifer Simard Frank. And maybe it’s time to play the stage show with a fierce woman giving very gender-queer aesthetic. A man in tights and heels doesn’t bat an eye anymore, and rightfully so. But a bald, long lashed Simard in a bustier tearing through that score?
just throwing this out there since the Bucks County Playhouse production is getting some attention........
I will not --- REPEAT -- will not go anywhere near this Broadway Revival if Frankie Grande somehow gets a role.
Frankie Grande is what happens when you order Beetlejuice off of Temu
