I don't want to start another RENT thread, So I will pass the info along here. Starz is showing a RENT "On the Set" all over the place in the beginning of November. Starting the 1st.

Yeah, I don't really care for Rosario as much...does anyone know about any other upcoming tv appearances by any of the other cast? I'm hoping in the next two weeks we'll be getting a bunch. I want to go to Letterman and meet some of them (Hoping that they're on there). I was really not up on following their tv appearances, and missed them on Regis and the Today Show....blah. :o(

I bet that Rosario, Taye, and Anthony will be getting the most airtime, since they are probably the most well known of the cast. ...Well I say, bring it on Anthony! :o)

Well, Anthony is certainly on the list of best interview subjects, if that's what they would be going for. I hope he gets some time to talk and publicize the film on TV, simply because I think he's the best of them to talk to about it. I feel like we won't hear much from Adam. It'll be like he has a sock in his mouth every time the group does an appearance.

Nothing against Anthony at all, it's just that as far as the "most famous" title goes, it's really Rosario, Taye, and Jesse, in that order.

Yeah, but out of full cast appearances on things, when they've done the "interview" parts? Anthony's done a LOT of the talking. So I wouldn't be surprised if he is asked to do a couple of promotional spots.

Jesse, really? Because besides him being an OBC member, I have no idea who he is. ...However, Anthony has been in SO many movies, (and a few WELL known movies at that) ...but I guess always as a sidekick...which is why people wouldn't know him by name. If you told people the movies he's been in, they would probably remember him. Adventures in Babysitting, Dazed and Confused, Six Degrees, A Beautiful Mind, etc. --- I think besides Rosario and Taye, he probably has the most experience with this kind of stuff, which is why I listed him with those two for people we will probably see on TV/Mag spots the most.

Well, we'll see.

I can't believe you don't know who Jesse L. Martin is outside of the RENT OBC.

I'm willing to wager that more people know who Jesse L. is as opposed to who Anthony Rapp is and that's due to the fact that he's been on a highly visible, highly rated, popular television show for a number of years.

Anthony's roles in the feature films you've mentioned are minimal at best I mean really, the first thing that comes to mind when you mention "Six Degrees" is either Will Smith or Stockard Channing.

I don't even know what show Jesse is on....? I don't watch that much network television though. Well, I mean...I watch 24...Nip/Tuck....that's really it these days. So ok, because of his constant appearance on this show, you're probably right that more people know of him...but Anthony still has much more experience in the film world...and for that fact alone, that will probably get him on more tv spots (that is if Rosario and Taye don't take over everything) ....I dunno. I'm not trying to argue with you, but Anthony has ben around the block...a few times and then some.

...Anyway, with all his experience, I'm glad he's stayed pretty much low-key. Makes him more like..."ours" --- When this movie comes out it's going to be nuts, with every 15 year old under the sun calling themself a Renthead. ::shudder:: ...However, I'm excited for his (and the rest of the cast's) possible future endeavors because of the Rent movie. Good luck to them with that.

Hey, does anyone know why the film ended up getting a PG-13 rating instead of R? (Other than the obvious, so it would get more ticket sales) I mean, I guess that is the main reason...but when Anthony was on here talking about when he first spoke with Chris, he made it seem like Chris was excited to be making his first rated-R film. Oh well for that.

As much as I love Anthony, unless you're a Renthead or just a theater geek in general, you'd probably have no idea who he was.

Adventures in Babysitting? He was like 15, he had red hair and looked like Rupert Grint.
Other movies? He never really had big parts. If you were describing the character, people might know who you were talking about, but most people have no idea who Anthony Rapp is. *tear*

I would love to see the whole cast maybe do some group interviews. I think that would be our best bet in seeing any of the cast besides Rosario, Taye and maybe Jesse on a talk show.

Lets just hope that while Rosario is out shilling the movie she talks about how amazing the rest of the cast is.

I was in the car with my dad yesterday, and he was like "so, this Anthony guy. Is he famous? He's famous, right?" *perplexed look* "Sure, dad. I mean, he was in A Beautiful Mind, you saw that, right? He's done a lot of movies, but if you walked up to someone on the street, they may not know him by name. It depends." "Oh, well, he's more famous than Adam, right?" I just love the way he comprehends things.

lol That's amazing that you say that -- I've been comparing Rupert Grint to him for so long now. I keep thinking that he would play a great role as Anthony's son, or younger brother. It's eerie how similar they look.

No, I know -- like I said I'm aware people wouldn't know Anthony by name, but I mean, they would probably know a plethora of movies he's been in, then shake their head hesitantly and be like "Ohhh...yeah...ok, right." As if they know who you're talking about. lol

I'm sorry but I have no clue who Anthony played in A Beautiful Mind. I know who he is from theater to be honest.

As much love as I have for Anthony, Jesse is the more famours one between the two. I mean think about the viewing audience of Law and Order, I'm not just talking about current episodes but the reruns on TNT and TBS. Plus he was on Ally McBeal. He's much more easily recognizable.
