"All Out: Comedy About Life", the sequel show to "All In: Comedy About Love" is supposedly taking the Nederlander for the holiday season, expect a mid November to late January run before a musical moves into the theater in the spring. Same idea, four performers, rotating cast with two big names leading for five weeks each.

What’s the musical coming in the spring ?
Wasn’t the first one a flop? Which ask the question if so, why try again with anew show!

Lol, no it wasn’t. People weren’t happy with the ticket price to watch people read out loud from a script, but it recouped capitalization prior to closing. The show’s success is what led to them announcing and producing this companion piece.
Thank you. I thought it flopped for some reason .Appreciate the correction.
Financially it was a success. I know a lot of people (myself included) got tickets obviously thinking it was a play so when we found out it was people on chairs reading from a book, they already had our money. Most people I know really disliked it and I can’t imagine would go back for round two. Now that everyone knows what it’ll be, I do wonder if they’ll have slower sales.
Yep, should be another big hit.

Performances begin December 12, and it will run through March 8.
The rotating cast of four will feature the following:
...plus one more guest TBA later.
Original music will be provided this time around by Lawrence (Gracie and Clyde Lawrence's soul-pop group).

They're all performers I like but there's really nobody there that would make me want to buy a ticket- particularly after having sat through All In. I hope the women have less thankless, stereotypical roles this time around, though.
I simple don’t understand the point of any of this.

Oh it’s quite clear: it’s a money grab. They don’t care if it’s good or moving. They know a bunch of people will pay top dollar to come see their favorite celeb read the phone book. It’s not art, it’s pure capitalism in a theater.
Yeah, I guess that's why I just don't...care? It just feels super lazy across the board.

Hmmm I guess it really is a light year for new shows.

Agreed, especially since this is supposed to be a Broadway debut for multiple people across both shows.
Would be more exciting if…it wasn’t this? I like the idea of a rotating cast, but these aren’t amateurs. These folks are perfectly capable of an actual performance.

Lawrence will be the best part by far.

If they switch the marketing to "Lawrence on Broadway, featuring some nonsense in between the songs", I might get on board.
I like the fact Sonic the Hedgehog is in this, that's cool. Other than that I really couldn't care about it.
I bought a ticket for one of the Jon Stewart days since I’m a fan of his and would like to see him live outside of a Daily Show setting but the rotating cast for this show has big “direct-to-video sequel” energy.
I’m surprised Nicholas Braun was booked considering there is an issue (that I cannot speak of on this board) he has t8 deal with come January after GPI ends downtown. Him getting booked is an assumption that he may actually be available.
Ike Barinholtz and Jenny Slate complete the onstage rotating cast.
Kevin Del Aguila and Olivia Puckett have also joined as understudies.
Barinholtz bumped Gaffigan to later in the run, which I’m more than fine with.
Slate jumps in for the the last 3 weeks of the run with Ray Romano, Nicholas Braun, and Ashley Park.
Beck Bennett fills the last mid-January slot with Wayne Brady, Cecily Strong, and Heidi Gardner
You honestly think Nicholas Bruan with his little UI misdemeanor charge and a violation for operating his car without lights on will land him in jail? Lolz. He's a rich white man, he will pay a fine and go on with his boozy life, which apparently means a lot of theater.
This is such a lackluster cast, IMO. At least the other one had some names that made me consider getting a ticket. Good luck to them.
