Their pricing is insane. If any show should be following the SHUCKED playbook and offering big discounts during previews, it's this one.

Apparently not.

Up until the last second, I did not really believe that anyone was going to invest in any show associated with that moronic TV show. I have been loving musicals for 60 years and I could not make it through the third episode of the first season. I found myself to be embarrassed watching it with anyone else in the room.
But, despite all the money losses last season, the producers have managed to get someone to invest in this. I have to assume that it is associated with some sort of money laundering scheme. Either that or they are being blackmailed to invest in this show.
Who out there asked for this show ? I’d rather watch paint dry

This will flop worse than Smash did.

At least this show knows what it is trying to be. SMASH couldn’t tell if it wanted to be corny musical comedy or soapy drama, and the authors couldn’t seem to pick a protagonist.
That alone could make it better than SMASH (from purely a quality standpoint, not a financial one).

At least this is indeed the TV show on stage. Smash wanted to be both the TV show and its own thing.
