I wonder if Kat McPhee and/or Megan Hilty (especially since she's already in town) will be involved in the marketing for this over the next few weeks.

Can someone share what the dark final scene was? I read about the workshop on forums and read that the second act involves Ivy dying from an overdose and then that the show becomes about her (instead of Marilyn). But dying to know what the dark final scene was given it sounded like Ivy was already dead for most of the second act?

Going to keep an eye on TDF for them but is the TodayTix sale the best ticket deal out there at the moment? I don't recall seeing an email blast/mailerwith a code and BroadwayBox isn't showing anything... Thanks!"
Still nothing and previews start 3 weeks from today!
I got a mailer today with the code BOMBSHELL

It sounds.... Different. A bit shrill, tbh.
She has a Disney princess voice and still seems to be doing a bit of Elsa from the national tour.
I've heard her use a richer belt when doing Eva Peron, but not sure what she's doing here.
This is one of those songs that was performed near-perfect by the original singer. Hilty's voice is perfect for this.

The sales are looking DIRE right now. Between this and TDF, I think there was somewhat of an overestimation of the appeal.
The incredibly basic marketing doesn’t do it any favors….

It literally has one of the best advances of new musicals of the entire season...what are you talking about?

Nothing DIRE about its first month of sales. Previews are nearing sellouts. This show will survive on word-of-mouth.
I looked over all the March preview performances just now to see if I was mistaken, and many of them are roughly half sold at best (aside from a few very well sold matinees), especially as you get deeper into the month. If this is a show with the “best advance of the season”, then I shudder to think about the numbers for other shows.
The date I’m going, 3/25, has maybe 25% of their mezzanines sold, if that, and also still a lot of blue in the orchestra.
Could it survive on WOM? Maybe. But filling the Imperial is a daunting task for any show and it’s not looking like SMASH is the hottest property right now

It's honestly a new world since covid. Using advance sales to project a show's success just isn't that useful anymore, as advance sales aren't what they once were. We should probably at least give a show a few weeks after opening (not previews) before deciding whether it will live or die imo.

While ticket sales are soft, everything has changed post covid.
Lots of people are now buying at the last minute.
