I ADORE her!!! She is one of my IDOLS but, this role was NOT suited for her. I feel HORRIBLE the way fans treated her during her run. She took a lot of sh*t from the line queens but, she moved on to bigger things that made her a star!

Sherie did replace Idina, but Idina came after a replacement in Aida.

I wonder how weird it was for the original cast when the first of them left. (Daphne left first, right?) -- That must have been so odd for all of them, that they knew it was slowly but surely coming to an end for them as a family...you know what I mean?

She just didn't fit the role.. vocally. She was REALLY straining and she was just TOO Musical theater. Then she went a way for a while.. and poof AIDA she had a totally different vocal quality. BTW, Idina Replaced HER in aida.

You're exactly right. That, and it wasn't a secret that Kristin Lee Kelly wanted the role - and the fans wanted her to have it so there was resentment there. So all things considered, Sherie didn't start off on a very good foot with the fans.

Yeah but, resentment didn't give 20-25 year old fans at the time the right to heckle her WHILE she was performing OVER THE MOON and yell BOO instead of MOO.. that really hurt her.

Awwe, I love Sherie, did they really boo her? I always thought her and Idina's voices were pretty similar, am I the only one?
