Posted: 11/29/05 at 9:23pmI ADORE her!!! She is one of my IDOLS but, this role was NOT suited for her. I feel HORRIBLE the way fans treated her during her run. She took a lot of sh*t from the line queens but, she moved on to bigger things that made her a star!

Sherie did replace Idina, but Idina came after a replacement in Aida.

Posted: 11/29/05 at 10:30pmShe just didn't fit the role.. vocally. She was REALLY straining and she was just TOO Musical theater. Then she went a way for a while.. and poof AIDA she had a totally different vocal quality. BTW, Idina Replaced HER in aida.

You're exactly right. That, and it wasn't a secret that Kristin Lee Kelly wanted the role - and the fans wanted her to have it so there was resentment there. So all things considered, Sherie didn't start off on a very good foot with the fans.
