Absolutely. All you have to do is go through the upcoming performances to see the effect it's had, because there's no way the show was that well-sold before this week. Here's a tally for the next 4 days:
Tomorrow night - 13 seats available
Friday - 33 seats
Saturday matinee - 6 seats
Saturday night - 29 seats
Sunday matinee - 15 seats
Oh, and they've raised the prices, too, with premiums up to $249, and a high of $299 on the final day of performances. 2 days ago, $199 was the top ticket.
Ray-Ban has released frames with a built-in HD camera that also records with audio:
Not to be cynical but I was surprised it didn’t happen sooner. I am pretty sure the actors knew the possibility of it happening was more than likely.

Well I for one am now VERY keen to see this production.
It may be the best thing that could have happened to boost ticket sales.

yeah, the timing seems odd. Jessie Williams was on WWHL the day these were leaked and now they're seeing a boost in ticket sales. As they say, there's no such thing as bad publicity.

Rumor on the street is that Chris Harper leaked the photos.

It's wrong what happened, but this show, the cast literally publicizes the nudity in it and the fact that JW is going to be naked on stage, LIterally every single piece of press, interview, etc, they emphasize it so heavily. And now everyone is so stunned that this took place? They were literally luring people in with the nudity and selling off of that.
^^^This 100%. I went on Playbill.com this morning to check news, and literally the first thing I see is a huge banner ad for Take Me Out with a handful of half-naked men. One guy is in a towel. All of this outrage feels really out of proportion to me. There is a genocidal war happening in Ukraine after all.
The cynical Gen-Xer in me half wonders if this wasn't all just one big publicity stunt.

Can we not with the "there's ___ going on" nonsense? Of course it's all relative but comments like this just invalidates any emotion we have towards a particular topic. We know there's whatever going on in the real world, but on this message board, we're to champion or to grouse all thing Broadway, and my opinions outside of Broadway can also exist elsewhere. I went to Funny Girl last night and spent half the night miserable, am I to couch my feelings on BWW because of the Supreme Court rulings?

Of course it's ok to express opinions about lesser issues. I'm just saying it's never remiss to remind ourselves that we also need to keep perspective. We're talking about a show that uses male nudity as a marketing tool and features onstage nudity of a famous actor known for his sex appeal, appearing on Broadway in a world (like it or not, and I don't particularly like it myself) where literally every thing anybody does is captured in some sort of digital form for all of eternity, and then asking people to express outrage when nude pics/videos are leaked. It just seems like a storm in a teacup.
We know that people can be killed by a tornado or hit with lightning - so should people not feel bad when those things happen?
There is a large difference between nudity and semi-nudity. Advertising was approved by all involved. The taking of a nude pictures of another person and sending out those picture WITHOUT THEIR consent, is not the same thing. (And against the law)

But that is exactly my point. You are equating being killed by a tornado or being struck by lightning with having nude pics from a public performance leaked on the Internet. Perspective. Does anyone really feel that badly for Jesse Williams, or is this just manufactured outrage because the 24 hour outrage machine must be stoked at all times?
I have a feeling Jesse Williams will be fine.
Especially since the production seems to be doing the bare minimum in getting the pics and footage taken down from Twitter. Put out a press release, install a camera, raise prices, and watch the shows sell out seems to be the strategy.

Feel bad for Williams, it’s gross that somebody would do this. I can’t say it’s the biggest surprise though. Put a famous heartthrob in a show most famous for nudity, and there’s a good chance of this happening. I hope Jesse knew that and was prepared for the possibility, I imagine he was.

The story has been up now for some time in the UK daily mail website which has the pixelated picture from Twitter featuring three times in its story , (pixelation goes from waist to below knee so that alone will get some comments!)
They also now have 30 second video clip again blurred circle covering his not so modest modesty.
As taffy Davenport says they don't seem to be fighting that hard to curtail access to the footage
Ironically UK celebrity Peter Andre is featured in a story in the same paper after it was said in evidence in a libel court case that the defendant had allegedly said Peter's manhood was like a chipolata . So things could be a lot worst for Jessie

I recently saw explicit shower photos from the 2002 version of Take Me Out. I didn't even know about the current staging. I can't help but wonder how the 2002 photos were procured.

There’s an excellent quality full show bootleg of the original 2002 Broadway production. Shot digitally not on video so screen grabs will be of great quality. The world was quite different back then pre-social media.

Thanks for the information.
Jesse is extremely attractive and looks like an Adonis in the photos. I am sure he is not that upset about it.
What a garbage thing to say.
Now I wonder if it extends?
The show I mean

Gross. He was violated and disrespected, that doesn't feel good. I agree with Jesse Tyler's statement and am glad the theatre also released a statement. Consent was NOT given so it can't be lucrative (despicable) and those who posted the article here? Shame on you. Forever.

Seems wise for the theater to take additional steps. I saw the show last Friday and it would have been a cinch to sneak in a phone if I had been so inclined. They took my friend's phone but when they asked for mine, I simply said, "I left it at back at the hotel" (which happened to be the truth but easily might not have been).
