I wasn't initially thinking of gunning for a ticket but instead trying cancellation or rush, but I'm not so sure if thaat's a good idea anymore. What time on Thursday would general onsale start?

You think? I wonder which theater."
Don't we all feel that Sondheim's last show ideally should play the Sondheim?

No theater confirmation yet, but I will say this is being rumored. Betsy and Stark will leave & Juliet around September / October, and the show might close on a high in January after Timberlake and Clarkson finish their stunt-cast contracts as Will and Anne around the holiday season.

WTF??"
Exactly.
If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it?
These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

As jkcohen noted above, this can only be true if this show has generated literally tens of millions of dollars in memberships for the Shed. I doubt that, but if it's true, then good for them!
"You can't overrate Bernadette Peters. She is such a genius. There's a moment in "Too Many Mornings" and Bernadette doing 'I wore green the last time' - It's a voice that is just already given up - it is so sorrowful. Tragic. You can see from that moment the show is going to be headed into such dark territory and it hinges on this tiny throwaway moment of the voice." - Ben Brantley (2022)
"Bernadette's whole, stunning performance [as Rose in Gypsy] galvanized the actors capable of letting loose with her. Bernadette's Rose did take its rightful place, but too late, and unseen by too many who should have seen it" Arthur Laurents (2009)
"Sondheim's own favorite star performances? [Bernadette] Peters in ''Sunday in the Park,'' Lansbury in ''Sweeney Todd'' and ''obviously, Ethel was thrilling in 'Gypsy.'' Nytimes, 2000
Unless & Juliet's grosses take a nosedive come the Fall, I doubt the Sondheim becomes available.
A Chorus Line revival played its final Broadway performance on August 17, 2008. The tour played its final performance on August 21, 2011. A new non-equity tour started in October 2012 played its final performance on March 23, 2013. Another non-equity tour launched on January 20, 2018. The tour ended its US run in Kansas City and then toured throughout Japan August & September 2018.
Anyone think they are letting Bernadette perform in the west end because Traci is performing in this and come next spring the show will open on Broadway with Bernadette? Maybe that’s a pipe dream.

Oh please not the Lyceum! Anything but that theatre! Worst seats and legroom! The venue needs a major renovation before another show goes in there!
The idea is to work and to experiment. Some things will be creatively successful, some things will succeed at the box office, and some things will only - which is the biggest only - teach you things that see the future. And they're probably as valuable as any of your successes. -Harold Prince
this cast is just wild- im totally unfamiliar with the plot but it seems impossible that any show can offer so many meaty roles that would generate such star interest? I have to assume the Last Sondheim Show is doing alot of work here for a slew of actors who easily command top billing on their own (DHP, Cannavale, O'Hare, Pasquale are each bona fide Bway leading men alone...)
Definitely seems like seeing this at the tiny Shed will be impossible so I am relieved to hear this has Bway plans. Are we expecting DHP or Cannavale or Shamos to sing? Feels like half this cast are vocal powerhouses and half not.
i know im harping on this a bit, but there still is no performance schedule posted and tickets go on sale to donors tomorrow. is there any strategic/tactical/marketing kind of reason to withhold this information?

They are incredibly unhelpful. I was just curious about the prices so I called them and they told me they couldn't give me that information before tickets went on sale so.....nah.
Maybe I’m just hearing through the same rumor circles. But that is what I’m hearing that Bernadette plans to come in in the Broadway transfer (previews beginning of March, opening in April). The only thing though I had heard differently was the Booth they were looking at (which would mean Kimberly Akimbo would close in the first part of January).
I must say. It’s an immersive casting. Bernadette imo would make it top notch. I do wonder if Nathan Lane has anyway forward in the show or if David Hyde Pierce is the go to for this one
