I ended up seeing HERE WE ARE last night, so I am selling one ticket for the 1:00 p.m. performance on Saturday, 11/28. Row FF, Seat 201. I paid $195 but will take $150. I have the ticket in my Apple Wallet on my iPhone and can send it right to you.
FYI, I've seen this a few times with those selling tickets on here. Seats 101/201 in rows EE-HH are not on aisle, but against a railing. The only aisles in the side sections are next to seats 108/208. I'm not trying to make it harder for anyone to sell their tickets, but, although they really are great seats, it's a misrepresentation to say they're on an aisle.
Any chance that like Merrily and Parade we might get a secret release of a cast recording? Has anyone asked the cast if they've recorded?
"You can't overrate Bernadette Peters. She is such a genius. There's a moment in "Too Many Mornings" and Bernadette doing 'I wore green the last time' - It's a voice that is just already given up - it is so sorrowful. Tragic. You can see from that moment the show is going to be headed into such dark territory and it hinges on this tiny throwaway moment of the voice." - Ben Brantley (2022)
"Bernadette's whole, stunning performance [as Rose in Gypsy] galvanized the actors capable of letting loose with her. Bernadette's Rose did take its rightful place, but too late, and unseen by too many who should have seen it" Arthur Laurents (2009)
"Sondheim's own favorite star performances? [Bernadette] Peters in ''Sunday in the Park,'' Lansbury in ''Sweeney Todd'' and ''obviously, Ethel was thrilling in 'Gypsy.'' Nytimes, 2000
Major price drop and deal. Selling one ticket for the 1:00 p.m. performance on Saturday, 11/28. Row FF, Seat 201. $75. I have the ticket in my Apple Wallet on my iPhone and can text it over to you.

debating if its better to go for a rush seat or keep trying with lottery (which is significantly cheaper).
don’t think this will be a hot tourist show"
I got C10 which was 5th or 6th row center through Rush on TodayTix for 40 dollars. I actually had won the lottery but saw the email when it was too late but still was able to get a Rush ticket. My expectations were not high so I ended up enjoying it more than I expected. It was cast very well and the actors infused a lot of humor into their performances. The standouts for me were Micaela Diamond, Denise O’Hare and Rachel Bay Jones. Jin Ha had a lovely voice! I would say that it was absurdist theatre that made fun of the upper class being out of touch with the real world. I think you have to go into it knowing it is an unfinished work. The second act did not work as well partly because the audience is not overly invested in the characters. And I yearned for some musical numbers. The direction was solid although at times it felt a little heavy handed. If I wandered into it not knowing the back story I probably would have been more critical.
I think about any seat in the theatre would be fine. The director staged it for everyone. I appreciated that the audience was raked and I was not dodging heads to see the stage. I had a very clear view.

LOL. Is this really a new trend now? Tbh, I like it. I realise that getting a surprise release is easier than agonisingly having to wait for months and months (see also: Sweeney Todd).

I agree! It's so hard to be surprised with announcements anymore!
Please let this be true!

I got a rush ticket last week at around 9:00 AM on the TodayTix app. I got row FF seat 108 I think, on the left side. I couldn't see the entire back of the stage, but most of the action is up stage and viewable. I was probably closer to the actors than most of the seats in the theater. I don't think I missed much though, I missed one moment for sure (don't want to spoil anything). I enjoyed it much more than I thought I would. The cast is having the time of their lives I would imagine.
Ted Talk: The back of the stage is upstage. Towards the audience is downstage.

I thought the set was almost impossibly chic and that reverse set change in Act 2 absolutely blew me away. I’ve never seen what looked like a Hitchcock zoom on stage. A truly breathtaking illusion.
I wonder if they'll do a surprise album release on the day after Thanksgiving to commemorate Sondheim. Or, would that be in poor taste? I can't decide.
I don’t think it will be in poor taste personally. This is his final work on record and all about the art not a sales grab!

Jin Ha has a previous Sondheim connection: He was Hollis Bessemer in the 2019 Encores! Off-Center production of "Road Show." That production had the best pair of Mizners to date, Raul Esparza and Brandon Uranowitz.

What would be the significance? How is it a commemoration the day after Thanksgiving? I don't understand.
