You put your name in 2 hours before the show, and they are drawn an hour and a half before, right? Thats half an hour later than most shows, I think. I've never not done lotto for Bee, lol. (Every time I have seen it/done lotto, I won)
There are staff members who work at the theater who do the picking, I don't think the cast has any say. They give Rona Lisa Peretti and Panch the list of names right before the show starts.
I'm going to be buying tickets for a show in July and was wondering if someone could tell me the best place to sit. I see it's a circle in the round theater but I don't want to miss things happening. Any thoughts? Thanks!
I think that all seats are pretty good. If you are close to the front (And even the last row) on either side, I think those are really good. I have sat on the side, both sides, once in the second row and twice in the 6th, (and once in the bleacher seats in the center) all the way towards the wall, and those seats are still really good, except from the 6th row, you cant see all of the back wall and door, but its not a big deal.
Also, throught the show, the cast is always in different aisles and stuff, so it happens all around. Updated On: 4/5/06 at 11:08 AM
I thought I'd give a little auctioning update. Anyone in SF interested in Leaf Coneybear's(Stanley Bahorek) number card should come to Spelling Bee Saturday night. They're going to be auctioning it off.
fyi there was a big o' ad in the paper today for Macy's 10th Annual Petacular at Macy's Herald Square, which included: Watch a live performance from Broadway's The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee! Sunday, April 9th at 1pm The Barnyard Stage Join us as cast members electrify the crowd with a special performance of the offbeat tale of six adolescents competing for the spelling championship of a lifetime! After their performance, cast members will judge contestants' in our very own spelling bee; you may be selected to participate!
(any typos are mine.) Not sure how a spelling bee fits in to all of the other animal events they have going on that day, (pet breakfast, pet parade, etc.), but there you go.
