THANK YOU SO MUCH! What I found funny in a podcast of the American Theatre wing, that interviewed Sarah Saltzberg (Logainne Shwartzandgurbenierre) and dan Fogler (William Barfee)was that every time Jay Reiss ggave them a word, they would spell it worng, and he goes, "How did you win the spelling bee? You spelled every word wrong!"
"I'm thinking about how if you took the W in
answer, and the H in ghost, and the extra A in aardvark, and the T in listen, you could keep saying WHAT but no one would ever hear you because the whole word would be silent."

Just got home from the show tonight, great as always! Heard a new word, it's a london term circa 1760 (or something like that), no clue how to spell it. Krizle...something.
Looking forward to seeing the Chicago Bee cast on Friday!!
A friend at work went to the show in SF last weekend. Her friend was one of the spellers! :)
Her friend was wearing a polka-dot dress, so she told me one of the descriptors was: "Each time [name] wins a Spelling Bee, her mom paints a new dot on her dress!"

SF is now selling t-shirts! Do any of you know where I could get them cheaper than $30? (Besides BroadwayNewYork.com's bargain bin -- with shipping it comes out to $28 anyway.)
I mean, they're cute, but I can't justify paying $30 for a t-shirt of any kind from anywhere.
If you were wondering what they look like, they're dark pink, sort of a distressed reddish color with a red collar. So, unisex. All the recruiters were wearing them. The front has a speech bubble that says, "Could you use that in a sentence?" The logo is really small on the back.

Most of the Broadway show T-shirt is about $25-30 lately I got "Times They Are A-Changin'" T-shirt at Old Globe for $15, which is a bargain but it's a regional theatre. So unless you can find it on eBay, $30 it is. (I got Jersey Boys' "Big Girls Don't Cry" T for $25 when I saw the show)
