"whoever was at the matinee yesterday...did u enjoy seeing jonathan b wright start laughing and lose character? i kno i did!"
These moments are why I love live theater. It creates more of a connection between the audience and the performers. Just as what they are doing makes an impression on us, our responses affect them as well.
Quick change of topic, has Jonathan B. Wright ever gone on as Melchior? Don't get me wrong, I adored him as Hanschen; his deadpan delivery is hysterical, and performing "My Junk" must take a boatload of courage. Vocally though I just don't know.

stagegrrrl, just wondering how you know all those things about Spring Awakening. Are you working for the show in some way? If Groff were to miss would they send in Robert Hager?

I hope this is not privileged info, but....they have hired a Melchior standby, who is currently in rehearsals. I believe that technically right now, Robi Hager is the only cover for Melchior.

Does anyone know if Frances is continuing as the Adult Women this week? She was AMAZING! She brought such a fresh perspective to the role, and I'd love to see her again.

sooooo Stagegrrrl.....with these open calls coming up...what/who are they looking to re-cast and when? I figure you may know at least something about this. Because it doesnt seem like any actors from the show are planning on leaving anytime soon. Thanks :)

Will stagegrrrl be leading said tour? God I wish I got my phone back, and I wish I didn't get tickets for a Sunday now...May 31st. That would be a convenient early graduation present if my parents every stop being completely pissed at me.

I heard that Gideon Glick and Remy Zaken were leaving the show in the fall to go to College full time. Maybe Groff is going to get a major role in a movie? or maybe ???? or ??? time will tell.

I bet skylar may follow Remy and Gideon. Because isnt he on leave from NYU? But I am suprised any of them would leave to go to College...I mean their careers have started great...i can understand move onto another acting gig....but to leave Broadway and go to school? Hmm? But hey that leaves us other actors roles up for grabs! hahahaha

I'm seeing the show for the first time on July 12th! I had stage seats BB 11 and 13. Forgive me if this has been asked but do I still get to see most of the action even if I'm sitting further upstage?

You can see all of the action. It's just that some of it is from the rear and sides. In the onstage seats, I don't think downstage vs.upstage makes a lot of difference.
PS: Enjoy! You're in for a treat!

I saw her two nights in a row last week, and thought she was OK...not great, not bad. But I know some others who don't like her performance.

I enjoyed Frances' performance very much (Wed. 3/21)...actually, I think I prefer her in the role. Her take on Wendla's mother was my favorite, especially in Act II.
