Just got back! Krystal was fantastic as Abe. Such a little powerhouse that one! Tried to stagedoor but that ridiculous storm cut us short. Shout out to Neil for being awesome and letting me hang out inside the door so I didn't die from the ice cube sized hail!
That's so good to hear! Were there any understudies on tonight? (er...last night, depending on how you look at it :])
I'm going to tomorrow evening's performance-fourth time at the Hirsch. I saw the show on Saturday so I could catch Jay as Claude and see Saycon one more time. I'm really excited for tomorrow night, though, snagged front row mezz seats right on the aisle earlier tonight (last night, whatever), and I could not be more excited.

The only understudy was Briana for Allison. I guess her hip is still bothering her, which is too bad. I hope she feels better soon. Briana was super cute, though.
I'm assuming Allison Case will be out for awhile. According to her facebook page, she is in California. Her hip is still bothering her.
"Allison Case is going to california tomorrow for lots of tests, new doctor, family friends and dogs."
"Allison Case is in california!!! saying little prayers for this poor hip! but believing i will be on the other side soon..."

I love Briana's Crissy, I think she's an absolute vision in the role. It's a lot like Allison's, but much less in your face and she's able to be the center of attention when she needs to be, but can step back when she has to as well.
Yeah, Allison's facebook says that she'll be back August 31st. I hope her hip heals well.
It's nice to hear good things about Briana's Crissy. I've seen both Allison and Kaitlin Kiyan in the role and I'm looking forward to seeing Briana. I'm seeing the matinee on Saturday.
I saw this on Andrew Kober's twitter page. It cracked me up.

lmao! that was hilarious! kober commented on the video.."oh. my. god."
I found Brianna's Crissy to be altogether forgettable. She wasn't BAD in any way, but simply made NO impression on me whatsoever. Even during Frank Mills -- the day after I couldn't even conjure a memoriy of the number.

I agree, drama. She's wasn't bad, but she just doesn't bring the absolute joy to the role that Allison Case does. I actually BELIEVE she's Chrissy. Her facial expressions, her emotions. I think she's amazing and hope she heals quickly.

I saw the show last night and thought Briana was wonderful as Crissy. I still found myself wanting to watch the character even without Allison's ridiculously overracted facial expressions.
Hair put out a new discount code. $75 for tues/wed/thurs. $85 for fri/sat/sun. the code is HATCX819. that should be the link to the broadway offers page.

I completely disagree basketcase. Allison Case is the definition of love & joy. I truly think her expressions are because she just loves the material shes performing so much. Its genuine. Not overacted at all.

Thank you SO much for the discount count, Gerb...I almost bought my ticket last night and I'm glad I didn't.
I love Allison, but I can definitely see how some of it is a bit overdone.
yea i totally see why some people might not like it, but i love how wonderfully wonderful she is.
I can't take my eyes off of the girl. Then I kick myself for not watching the other 20 people on stage. The girl is magnetic.
seeing the show tomorrow night for the first time!! My boyfriend and I are sitting in orchestra row t, one is an aisle seat! (it's mine...all mine). Not sure if I'm going to go to the Barnes and Noble event though. I'd rather save seeing the songs performed live for the theater. What do you guys think?
Apparently Paris was on as Claude for act 2 of the matinee today.
JKlock --- If you can, I would say go to both. The vibe is going to be much different at the actual show comapred to B&N. Plus, the press releases seem to imply that only the leads are going to be there, so it could be a cool chance to see some of the songs in a more "unplugged" (for lack of a better word lol)
way.
Ye Paris was on as Claude for act 2.
Gavin came on stage at the end of the interval and announced he thinks he has sprained his ankle doing one of the numbers so Paris would take over for act 2.
There was a really funny line which was something like "Claude, where you been... You look so DIFFERENT", got a great response.
Wonder how long he will be out for?
alright maybe I will check it out :)
I hope Gavin's alright!!
Poor Gavin-- he's sick and then he sprained his ankle! Hope he gets better soon!
Ahh, poor Gavin. Best wishes to him. A sprained ankle is not cool!
