Well, Saycon is already gone.

Does anyone know for SURE if Theo is coming back to the show? I think we all assumed he was....but is that FACT?

Well, Saycon had to leave because of FELA; I don't know that she would have at this point otherwise.

And I don't want to say I know 100% for a fact that Theo is coming back because you never know, but I'm pretty sure he is, yes.

Is it at 5? Good luck getting inside the room. When I went to West Side Story we got there around 2:30 and there was a line. Hair has a much bigger following I'd say...

It looks more like a walking cast: https://twitpic.com/embep

But they always say it's better to break a bone rather than sprain something. But he doesn't say if it's broken or sprained.... if he broke it, there's no way he would have been able to finish the first act.

Anyone going to B&N, try and find out how he's doing BEHIND-THE-SCENES VIDEO

Theo is definitely coming back. Once he announced that he was leaving, he told everybody that he would be back in October.

"if he broke it, there's no way he would have been able to finish the first act."

Depends what kind of break it is, also which bone. The tibia is the weight-bearing bone. And if it was a fracture, it'd be a stress fracture which can be weight bearing. I knew this woman who was positive she had a broken leg (not a stress fracture, but that's besides the point) and because she could walk, doctors refused to do an X-Ray. When she finally got her x-ray, to her surprise both legs were broken.

A sprain will heal faster but can also be injured again more easily so would probably keep him out of the show longer. If only they could be like Wicked (I saw Kristin Chenoweth with a neck brace and she kept making jokes about hurting her neck) and he could be on stage with the injured leg. Speaking of, isn't that what Lauren Elder did last year? I realize she's only a member of the ensemble and it was in the park with different stage direction so it's a completely different case but I also remember seeing her sitting on the side of the orchestra stage singing and playing a tambourine.

Good afternoon, starshines! I just got back from NYC, and my last show was HAIR last night, and there could not have been a better way to end the trip. This show if freaking brilliant! Paris was a fantastic Claude, and his voice..was just so nice to listen to! I was in Row S, seat 2 in the mezz, and it was a GREAT view for those hesitant about buying these seats. Pay half the price you would for the same view in the few rows in front! Allison Guinn came up to shake my hand and Bryce sat down right next to me in the aisle and was playing with the people in the center section. It was amazing. Andrew was hilarious as Margaret, and 'My Conviction' was great. I just could not believe how much energy the cast has. At many points, I wanted to jump up and start dancing/shouting with them. The lighting, the band just made this production... explode from the stage, and I'm so glad I had the chance to see this brilliant revival. I hope it's here for a while...I hope to catch Gavin and Allison sometime! Seriously, I left last night with a new...happiness that I can't wait to spread! YIPEE Starshines!

boooo. lol I got to B&N @ 4ish and saw the event room empty so I went upstairs to get a frap. I cam back down a little later and ask when they open then was told to get in the huge hidden line which curved around 542 bookcases and finally got to the back of the line. all of the sudden, Wanna Be Foster gets in line behind me then some of his friends so I met them and that was cool. then after the line starts moving I was told that I needed a braclet to get in. only way to get a braclet was to buy the cd. I went to go buy the cd and saw that the room was filled up so now I'm in the lincoln tunnel lol. gavin wasn't there and it looked like paris was taking his place and allison case wasn't there either. maybe I was just utterly misinformed which is very possible but I didn't read where it said you NEEDED to buy the cd there to get to watch. not cool B&N...not cool.

This is a little late in the discussion, but I wanted to provide the little info I know about people leaving and/or returning.

Theo Stockman was supposed to return to Hair in November after the run of American Idiot. Now, however, it's looking very likely that AI will extend its run in Berkeley, and there's a pretty strong possibility that he may not return after all. Nothing has been officially decided, though, and it all really depends on what happens with AI.

Most of the cast had 6-month riders on their contracts, and with the 6-month mark coming up in September, it's also quite possible that there may be some cast changes. I do not have any definite inside info on who might be going or staying, though. Also, this is aside from a few of the "leads" who had 1-year contracts, though I'm not exactly sure who that applies to (Will and Caissie are the ones I'm most sure about).

As we've learned, Gavin will be staying on past September.

Anthony Hollock is on a 3-month leave for his injury, and John Moauro is scheduled to take probably a month off for knee surgery.

Okay, that's all I know for now! :)

When is Moauro going to take off a month? He's my favorite non-character in the tribe, I would like to see him.

yay_gerb, I was fed the same story about needing to buy a CD to get in. However there was standing room just outside the big room where we could watch the talk and performances on TV.

Nothing was mentioned about Gavin beyond what we already know. Darius, Will, Sasha, Paris, Caissie and Bryce were there. They sung "Aquarius", "Where Do I Go?", and "Good Morning Starshine".

I have to say that while the performances and talkback session was cool, the staff at B&N seemed like they were bothered by everyone. I asked this lady directly if their was standing-room and she told me no. Went down to where the line was and noticed a few people standing without wristbands and that's how I got to watch it. Glad I ended up going, though because it was nice hearing them sing songs that weren't uptempo.

You didn't NEED to buy a CD to get in, technically. But people who bought CD's or had wristbands (you got two wristbands per CD) were given priority, and they ended up filling the room with those people, so nobody who hadn't bought a CD was able to get in.

The B&N staff isn't particular cooperative at these events. I get that there's a lot going on and they need to keep people moving and make sure everything happens within the appropriate time, but I feel like they could do so and be a little bit more polite. I was also kind of amused by the fact that they made like, five announcements about how the cast was not going to personalize anything so don't ask, and then Bryce was asking everybody for their name so he could personalize their CD's anyway.

Bryce is pure awesomeness.

The article on Broadway.com said Gavin will hopefully be in by the 31st but obviously that depends on his ankle healing. Let's hope that boy heals up quickly!

(And yes, I'm being a wee bit selfish--I have tix to the 13th).

The article only states he will likely be out until the 23rd...not the 30th, at this time. Depending on how bad of a sprain...he could definitely be back that soon.

Of course, no one wants him to risk further damage.

At this time, AI is only slated to run to 10/11. There is a CHANCE of a little extention as nothing else is slated to play that theater until early December, but that production would need a few weeks of tech. So, at best, it COULD extend for a month...but it's too early to tell.

Okay, i'm pretty sure this has been asked before, but I can't seem to find where... maybe I'm just scrolling through everything too fast... but anyway....

Going in for SRO on Saturday. Box office opens at 10 am. What's a good time to get there before the line gets long? Is 8am early enough?
