So I went to a matinee on August 12th...and was completely and utterly blown away. The love in the cast was contagious and could be felt all around the theater.
Paris was playing Claude and I found him absolutely wonderful. He seemed so sweet and has an incredibly lovely voice :) It would have been nice to see Gavin though.
I had really wanted to see Allison Case but due to her injury she was out. Briana played Crissy in her place and did a nice job though I got the feeling that she was not as...energetic as Allison normally is.
I totally fell in love with Andrew Kober. He was fantastic no matter what role he was playing though I really enjoyed him as Margaret Mead. He's very funny and a very talented singer.
And though I told myself that I wasn't going to going down and dance on the stage, I did. I felt that I needed to or my experience would not have been complete. Now, while I was dancing, a certain handsome and talented man (whose name begins with a W and ends with an L) began dancing with the woman next to me. Of course I was very jealous of this woman but I totally freaked out over the fact that he was that close to me.
I ended up surprising even myself when, after the dancing was over and people were leaving the stage, I approached him (I'm fairly shy). I told him what a great job he did (trying desperately to maintain eye contact and not let my eyes drift in other directions...) and he nearly made me go into shock by putting his hand to my face (at that point I started to think, "HOLY MOTHER OF GOD HE'S GOING TO KISS ME!" like the pathetic fangirl I am) and said "thank you".
Overall it was an incredible show and I hope to be posting more on this thread :)

His hand on your face? Pshaw...he LAID on top of me the night before.
Glad you loved the experience.

I just realized what an odd thing to be bragging about. But if we were naked, you'd all have to help me pick out baby names!
LOL.

I haven't been to an event there since South Pacific and the only other one I went to was Company, but my friends and I took both photo and video. There will be professional photographers there too, I'm sure. There always are. And usually some video feature crew as well. I'm going to try to go; I'm really excited to hear the writers speak about the piece. If I can get my ass out of bed early enough, I'm probably also seeing the show tomorrow night. :)
awesome. i'll take some videos and i have pro camera so if it's not raining maybe i'll bring that too. i'm debating on getting the cd again for that priority seating. i do want to get it signed too.

I saw the show yesterday for my first time (I was at the matinee), and I fell in love with it. I loved Gavin, and was upset when he wouldn't be continuing, but I found Paris to be fantastic! His "Flesh Failures" was wonderful. I hope Gavin gets better soon, and I hope I can see both him AND Paris do the full show in the future.
What I really loved about the show was just how much fun the entire cast seemed to be having on stage. Their joy and passion was infectious, and really made the show that much more enjoyable. I left the theatre on an absolute high (dancing on stage at the end contributed to that feeling; that was one of the best and coolest experiences I've had recently).
This show 100% deserves all of the success it has had thus far, and I only wish it the best of luck in the future. I'm now proud to be a HAIR fan, and I'm already itching to get back to the show!
Broadway.com just posted a Fresh Face feature featuring the sexy Sasha Allen (I would LOVE to be her white boy haha). I ahd no idea she was 27 (no that that's old lol) but I would placed her aroudn 23 or so. Fresh Face: Sasha Allen

I'm a professional. Whenever something goes wrong on stage, I know how to handle it so no one ever remembers. I flash my %#$&.
"Jayne just sat there while Gina flailed around the stage like an idiot."
Yeah, Sasha seemed to imply on her Facebook that she would stay as long as the producers would have her.
