Agree with Namo. Why wouldn't fans be entitled to their opinions about who is or isn't right for roles in a show they like? And someone can be very, very talented and still completely wrong for a role. It's silly to defend his purported wrongness for the part on the premise that he's extremely talented. I'm sure he is, I haven't seen him, but all the talent in the world doesn't make you right for any and every role.
Wendilin was there....and yes, it was her last. Ryan on for Berger.
If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it?

It was very sad that it was Megan's last day. She was visibly upset about it and completely broke down during Sunshine. At the "dance party" the cast basically surrounded here and most of the theatre then realized it was her last day and stayed to cheer her one. Paris and Kacie and Darius completely broke down with her. The applause went on for a good 5-10 minutes after the dance party ended. Very sweet moment.
As far as Ryan as Berger...I'm not sure. I don't think he is as bad as everyone says or what I assumed...however, I didn't love him as Berger. Berger is very eccentric, but to me, Ryan's portrayl of the eccentricness (is that a word?) came off as goofy frat boy. There were times where he was absolutely on fire, and other times where it was extremely awkward (during the Claude/Berger/Sheila scenes) and I had to look away.
However, during his opening monologue, as he took off his pants, his microphone fell out. He played it off perfectly and made some joke about "things falling out of places they shouldn't be". Nicole Lewis put it back in for him, where he turned it into some sexual remark along the lines of "yeah baby stick it in there good and tight". Very funny and the audience clapped. Got the show off to a great start. (And by the way, it was a fantastic audience tonight!!)
Very happy to see Allison, but she was obviously in a lot of pain. She didn't do much of the first act, and wasn't even on stage for it. But I was just thrilled she was there.
Gavin was amazing tonight. I don't know if I'm just used to the recording or don't remember it very clearly (I saw it during previews in March). But man oh man, even the "little" songs or lines , he just belted it out like he was in the shower alone. I had goosebumps every time he opened his mouth.
Between Hair viewing number 2, and bway on bway, it was a fantastic day all around.
Edit: From what I heard after, Megan is just gonna spend some time with her kids who are very young. Kevin's in wicked and I guess things are crazy. Hopefully we will see her back on the stage soon!!

There isn't one. some people show up dressed up others dress like slobs.

There's no official dress code, though people do tend to dress up more during the week than on the weekends.
I usually go with a collared shirt, nice jeans and sneakers, mostly because I intend to dance at the end and it's easier for me to maneuver the raked stage.
For the people who went to the benefit last night: How was it? What did they sing? I just watched a video where they were singing 'with a little help from my friends'. And that was amazing as always!
I was at the 11:30 show. It was beyond brilliant. I think I was sitting next to one of the musician's parents who were just in awe at the talent. There was just so much loVe and positivity in that room that it was cool to be there in the presence of generous people. Our raffle was a signed CD/Poster and dinner with Gavin, Will and Caissie. Two people split the prize so that alone raised $4K.
Some of the songs:
Megan L., Gavin, and Bryce did a more "country" "Where Do I Go?" with Megan singing lead.
Megan R., Krystal, Briana, Hannah, and Chastan sang "Landslide".
Kacie, Allison, and Kaitlyn did "Somewhere Over the Rainbow/What a Wonderful World"
One of Lindsay's friends did "Tiny Dancer"
Steel, Maya, Ato, and Andrew rocked to "Because" by the Beatles
Heather MacRae did a song from her album. I forget which one.
I think I'm missing two or three, since Lindsay's friends rotated with the Tribe. Updated On: 9/15/09 at 07:31 AM
My friend was one of the people who split the dinner that raised $4K. And during the first show, I was the one who won the walk on role for $1,700. For a once in a lifetime experience and a donation to a wonderful cause, I was more than happy to, especially considering that I've had cancer devastate my family in more than one way.
Don't forget the "People Get Ready"/"Waiting for the World to Change" melody that was awesome and the "With a Little Help From My Friends" group sing that closed out the show.

Yes, but you still "win" an auction. There's actually something called a "winner's curse" when it comes people who bid on auctions relating to how the winner will tend to "overpay" for an item LOL
But yes, auction not raffle :) Going to the theatre to give the money tonight and will probably stay for the show since I'm already going to be there! Might as well make the trek from NJ to NY worth it!

I had forgotten that the walk-on was exclusive for the 9:30 show, but I'll thank myself later for not bidding when I have food to eat and Metrofare.
I'll be anxious to see if it's offered at the Flea Market this year since most of the walk-ons start at $1000, and the ones I wanted quickly flew out of my price range.
The medley was all Lindsay's friends. I didn't catch their names so maybe it'll come up on Youtube.
and Hannah was using her blackberry to get all the words in. I kinda like off-the-cuff performances so I didn't mind it. If they do it at another concert with time to prep the arrangement capabilities, it could be an awesome number to do.
I'm not sure if someone else needed lyrics, but it's not all that uncommon at concerts.
I'm a professional. Whenever something goes wrong on stage, I know how to handle it so no one ever remembers. I flash my %#$&.
