So proud that Obama is stepping up to the plate and doing what is right with gay rights. Hopefully this is the first of many steps that his administration will take!
If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it?
These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.
Considering he's laregely ignored the gay community after getting elected, its a step in the right direction. I have no doubt that the Obama bashers will be going to town after a simple speech at a HRC event dinner.
Congrats to Gavin, GaGa, and the glee cast! I hope that this really gets Obama to start thinking about some issues that have been effecting the gay community. For my own selfish reasons, I wish this dinner had been scheduled on ANY other night but Saturday the 10th, but I'll be looking forward to seeing Paris take on the role. I'm excited as hell for this show, this means so much to me.

Oh Jazzy, I'm sorry you're not going to see Gavin. But you're gonna love the show no matter what! How long are you staying until? Maybe you just stage door another night?

Naw...I don't think I would stage door for a performance that I didn't have a ticket for. I could switch my ticket for the Friday show, but I'm probably not going to. I'll stick with the saturday show, I have such a great seat and if my flight is delayed on Friday, I wouldn't get to see the show at all! I'm still so damn excited though. As much as I would've loved to have seen Gavin, I'm looking forward to the show as a whole. (I'm still not sure if I'm going to stagedoor for the performance I'm seeing... I haven't decided).
ETA: Typos Paris is good, right?

Jazz--I saw Paris in Act II the day Gavin hurt his ankle, and wasn't the least bit disappointed. Have fun at the show -- based on these boards, it sounds like you've been waiting a while for this day!
People who bring babies to the Broadway shows should be banned from live theatre. What do they think, that the child will sleep through the show? I'm amazed that the tribe didn't make any comments about the child.
And why is somebody who's not Theo wearing Theo's costume? I got confused.
