And to answer the posters question - Sutton was a better Eponine, and I think Sutton is better all around.

I never realized this was a competition.. How very elementary.
And if only to appease you, I'm going to put back the fragment I omitted a while ago. Yes, it will REALLY change it's meaning dramatically. Because people here are THAT STUPID not to understand what the post is all about.
Original post:
"Since these two are quite similar in ways more than one, both having played Eponine, possessing strikingly similar voices and are both fantastic thespians in their own rights, it's time we have a consensus. Who cuts it for you? And why?
Sutton and Lea fans, war is upon you."
Now tell me, which part of the paragraph is it exactly asks which of the two is the BETTER EPONINE? Anyone who has a modicum of logic would understand that the part about "both having played Eponine" was mentioned to assert their aforementioned similarities.

Anyway, both are my favorite Eponines... Arghh!!! It's impossible to pick one... I just love how Sutton sings "pretending", but I also loved how I can feel her emotions through the song...
Hm... I think Lea wins by a little bit!

They're just very different types to me anyway, though.

I really do like Lea, I thought she was a great Eponine; her roughness or overpronounation covered up her "upper class" upbringing, for me. Also, I like Lea's Kim too, from the scenes she did in "Hey! Mr. Producer" she was enchanting and she sounds great on the CD.
Lastly since someone asked, I too, have seen Ma-Anne Dionisio as Eponine and I really liked her. Ma-Anne had a good combination of strength and saddness. I wish her CD would come out, which I think might have been put on the back burner for some reason, because I have heard "On My Own" is on it. I am going provide a link to some sounds of Ma-Anne as Eponine

I have a question though, What other roles could they have shared? To me they are both wonderful in everything I have seen them in but I could'nt imagine them bieng replaced by the other. besides eponine of course
Oh and one more question, Why is it every topic I choose to read is ruined by someone who has to try to look superiour to everyone else?
go ahead make fun of my spelling, or grammer it's old news

The argument was a ploy to cover up moowithme111105's use of the "B word"!
BTW, I vote for Lea. She's been my favorite singer for sooo many years.

lol @ collins.. i guess we're busted then.. that word is really dreadful, isn't it?
btw, no one is trying to prove himself superior mesmerized..i just hate it when people try to aggravate you coz they don't like your post. personally, if i have a problem with someone's post, i leave it alone and don't participate. I move on to something else. I don't aggravate the author. It's only fair, isn't it?
