I hope so! Maybe this is just teaser art work? I mean it does seem odd to promote a show with no black woman actually in the show? Unless they're planning on recasting when they get to NYC.
I don't have access to the "bootleg", but I have access to the Old Globe's archival footage. It's the full show from a stationary cam from what seems to be the front of the mezz. If anyone wants to take a peak, you can PM me as well.
A few other things:
- To be fair, they are not going to be there long, and A LOT of shows modify or completely change the artwork between the Tryout and the first broadway preview.
- Its starting to grow on me a bit. I like the colors and the cityscape, but yeah...
To be fair, the women on the artwork are not necessarily Prince, Cusack, and Sherrill. None of them even look close to any of them. They could just represent everyday women.
- I am (hopefully) seeing the show on the 1st, so if no one does it before me, I will post a song list then.
There were two (supposedly bootleg) clips from San Diego on YouTube that the producers ordered taken down. However, two official Old Globe videos are still up.
That picture is clearly from the "Morty's Got It All" sequence - Brenda (Faith Prince)'s husband films a cheesy TV commercial for his appliance store. Makes me wonder how far off the score will be from the Old Globe production...
Broadway in Chicago just announced that they will sell a limited amount of tickets every day for $25.00, limit two tickets per person. They are really having a hard time selling tickets for this show...
^ aha everything so far about this production leading up to this point just looks bad, tired, cheap, uninspiring...wondering what those that saw it have to say but those first night supporters always luv everything and state that it's the best new musical and can't wait for the score. No Hamilton here!

Enjoy! Could one of you post a report after, or at least a song list? I'm can't wait to hear what this new version is like - and if it's as awesomely terrible as the San Diego production.
