You know good and damn well she originated in those REVIVALS.

Um, Chenoweth headlined and opened those revivals. She didn’t replace another actress in those revivals. The shows may be revivals but they’re still treated as brand new Broadway productions, hence why they are nominated for Tony Awards.
Doing a revival of a show from the distant past is quite different.
I didn't want to get into it, but I was also thinking about the physical aspects of DBH like BrodyFosee mentions. All that running back & forth to change costumes in For the Gaze alone...who wants to do that? I'm surprised Hilty even agreed to it in the first place. It is all so awkward.

I don’t agree with how’re using the word “originate.” By that standard, you’re saying Audra originated the role of Rose, or Sutton Foster originated the role of Reno Sweeney. It’s nonsense. Ethel Merman did that

Sutton and Audra didn't replace Merman either. Which is what this conversation is about. I can't decide if you are trolling or stupid.

The answer is both.

Ethel merman originated those roles. Not Sutton or Audra. I don’t agree that someone “originated” any role for a revival
Block him, everyone.
I forgot about the reason why I opened this thread in the first place-
If you're out on Fire Island at any point during the remainder of summer, the Pines Pantry has just started giving out QoV reusable grocery bags- just as they did with Sunset Blvd last year and Once Upon a One More Time the year before that.

Kad, I already made that point. Oh yes, but im the stupid one. You’re on my list. As far as Sutton Ross is concerned, he must literally run this board because I’ve never seen posts get taken away so quickly anytime it’s something Sutton doesn’t like.

so you know the future , awesome thank so much for clearing that up. what a debbie downer."
I don't think one needs to be a futurist or a debbie downer to imagine how unlikely it is that Menzel or Chenowith would opt to be replacements in DBH. Stranger things have happen in casting, but not many.
"
no I was being petty and calling that username a debbie downer because why cant someone have their own opinion on dream casting, and then to have someone who I have no rapport with, allude to drug use...its just uncooth...tacky really... thats all..a show like DBH, regardless of who has said it, is too much of a physical demand, maybe its too much for certain performers thats ok, but DBH is a show that can definitely do some fun casting is all. whereas Queen of Versailles specifically Kristin is to me only suited for
At a "move-in day" event outside the theatre, a few hot pink Piece of Cake Moving trucks just departed from the St. James Theatre to unveil the full Broadway cast waiting under the marquee.
The entire principal cast from Boston will continue (Nina White, Melody Butiu, Stephen DeRosa, Greg Hildreth, Tatum Grace Hopkins, and Isabel Keating, joining Chenoweth and Abraham).
New to the show are Christopher Gurr, Ryah Nixon, Shea Renne, Anne Fraser Thomas, and Jake Bentley Young, replacing ensemblists Stacie Bono, Diana Huey, Amanda Jane Cooper, Anna Bakun, and Sara Esty.
During a press event today, they put up the marquee and signage and announced more of the cast.
In addition to Chenoweth and Abraham - Melody Butiu, Greg Hildreth, Shea Renee Hughes Nina White, Stephen DeRosa, Andrew Kober, David Aron Damane, Anne Fraser Thomas, Yeman Brown, Ryan Nixon, Cassondra James & Isabel Keating
Don’t know their roles, but those are the names they rattled off
An unusual stat:
Ryah Nixon has been in the original Bway casts of Great Gatsby, Once Upon a One More Time, and now Queen of Versailles, but did not do the out-of-town for any of them! (Was also in Boop in Chicago and then on Bway.)

Chenoweth is actually a producer on the show. Good for her, believing in herself. It’s produced by Bill Damaschke, Seaview, Sonia Friedman, and Chenoweth. Small but mighty team.

I’m sure the list of co-producers will be exorbitant by the time of opening.
There are already SO many co-producers from the Boston Colonial that are attached to the Broadway run. Including director / set designer, Arden & Lafferty . The producers need the co-producers who need all of their investors money. Jackie is moving into the St. James. I wonder if she’ll be moving out by winter or if investors will keep the co-producers pockets filled.

Menzel was also a producer on REDWOOD (continuing the parallels of their careers)
Also new to the musical: Sherie Rene Scott will be Chenoweth's standby.

...kind of more excited about seeing her than Chenoweth, tbh.

This just knocked my world off its axis. I wish she was an alternate and got one performance a week.
