Can anyone confirm that the partial view seats are fine? The Broadway 2 for 1 price is good, but I wanna be sure before I hit buy. Thanks!

I sat in the left box, about as extreme as you can get, and the view was nearly impeccable. You miss no actual action.

We’re coming to NYC in April with our 13 year old daughter. Will 2 Strangers still be playing and do you think my kid who enjoys musicals enough would like it? If not, would Spelling Bee be the better choice? I’ve fallen in love with some of the songs with Sam so I selfishly want to see Two Strangers.

Houston, Texas native Austin Colburn is joining the cast for his Broadway debut, as a second standby for Dougal.
Recent SIX alternate Jana Larell Glover joins as an additional Robin cover.

saw this coming. congrats to both. Hiring an extra standby for each with the recent sickness running around Broadway and possible future vacation dates makes perfect sense.

If no one's responded to this, it should still be playing then, and yes, I think she would enjoy it. It's fun and funny with a lot of heart, and as you already know, the songs are catchy and the cast is very talented. A kid that age who enjoys musicals would probably enjoy it a lot.

Does anyone know when the current discount goes until? I’m looking at tickets for June but don’t know if they’ll be in another coat available by then

I'm going to hazard a guess that it won't be a priority for them as they already have the UK cast album with Tutty on it.

That's amazing J, I just loved this entire show, and the score is a major highlight.

The communal theatre going / art consuming experience is amazing, I genuinely love that we can all go see the same piece and respond in different ways. I just caught Two Strangers and it was heart warming to sit in a house with an audience that was eating it all up... while I sat there, confounded.
The Good:
- Very talented performers (Christina and Sam were both on when we went). I think Sam in particular deserves kudos for bringing a lot of charm to what in less capable hands would have been a god awful character to watch.
- I also thought the set design was clever and appreciated that the designers were able to keep cost minimal while still giving us something fun and dynamic to look at. (For the most part, more on that later)
The Rest:
- I'll own that this is a personal preference thing but shows that take place in contemporary New York City and are more or less about dating/finding yourself (I'm looking at you, 'I Love You Because'
just feel very... low calorie to me. The stakes aren't high enough, the songs are simple (not in a good way). - Speaking of the songs, gun to my head as soon as I walked out of that theatre I could not have hummed a single tune. I do remember thinking the song at the end of Act I where they're spending all the money was fun. That actually brings me to the next point...
- In my show going experience I don't think I've ever seen a first act end with less dramatic tension or conflict
- The character development was really lacking.
- The entire dynamic felt like it was just back and forth of Dougal's entire personality being "look how goofy I am and here are a million generic / predictable / unoriginal jokes to show how I don't know how NYC functions" and Robin responding "God you're so weird'.
- If Robin's sister was so mad at her that she wouldn't invite her to the wedding, why was she having her run all those errands for her and still allow her up to her apartment to see her face to face when she dropped off the messed up cake?
- Also, didn't Robin go upstairs with the aforementioned cake? Did her sister just... not notice?
- Why wouldn't Robin visit her grandma?!
- Also Dougal sang so many dang songs about his father that at a certain point the relationship felt romantic.
Also in retrospect there was in fact very little cake carrying...

The sister is an a-hole who was punishing her. Same reason she invited her groom's secret child without telling him, leaving it to be a surprise on him at the wedding.
She didn't allow her to go upstairs.
- Also, didn't Robin go upstairs with the aforementioned cake? Did her sister just... not notice?
She was told to leave it with the front desk. She clearly wasn't offstage long enough to have gone upstairs.
- Why wouldn't Robin visit her grandma?!
She's depressed. Avoiding people when you're depressed, even those who love you, is not uncommon. She even sang a whole song about how hard it was trying to be happy for other people, specifically mentioning acting happy for her grandmother.
- Also Dougal sang so many dang songs about his father that at a certain point the relationship felt romantic.
There were...two? (One of which was really about his mother.)

Love to see the press, but come on, NYT: "Tutty said he doesn’t has much time for exploring during the show’s run, but Pitts is still trying to get him off the beaten track."

Heads-up that the regular prices for this spring have dropped on Telecharge. What was a $179 seat in April is now $149, and other such reductions for those who want to buy ahead.

Saw this tonight (7:33 start, 9:50 blackout) and liked it very much. Basically a poor man's MAYBE HAPPY ENDING without the robots and a lot of its sophistication, but with as many crowd-pleasing moments and enough twists and turns to keep the audience intrigued. Likely wins best musical this year.
Act one was pretty much perfect, very funny, pure musical comedy. Sam caught his suit tonight in "American Express."
Second half did too much navel-gazing. It's great when a show dares to look inwards, this one goes a bit too deep.
Sam and Christiani give great lead perfs and should both see Tony noms in this thin musical season. They both stage-doored (even came out together) and were sweet and humble.
Score is pleasant on the ears, in the contemporary Broadway-pop vein. Full of numbers that start with gentle and steady whirring SFX with soft piano over it. We've heard it before in DEAR EVAN HANSEN, penultimate sequence in REDWOOD, etc.
The set is deceptively simple and full of surprises. Lock for Tony nod.
Shoutout Ted Arthur who's having an absolute blast up there with that band.
Should make it to mid-August, close around then or soon after, and tour.

I got to see this at the ART last spring and pretty much agree with you here. I'd go even farther and say they should have borrowed one more thing from MHE and done one act just to prevent the act 2 issues.
