Funny Girl - I can pretty much be there any time, unless there's some emergency. If you need someone to stage door with just let me know! Chances are, I can make it!
Is this going to be the first time that you're seeing Sweeney?

Yes, Sept. 9th will be my first time to see this production (I've actually seen Sweeney, but not on Broadway - or with Patti and Michael).
I'm going with my mom on the 9th.....and I'd like to go see it again on the 10th, but I was planning on going alone. It would be so much more fun with someone who was as into it as I was. My mom is just kind of along for the ride.
You game?? Front row, maybe??
PM me.

I have a Patti question for you all. I remember reading somewhere that she had to undergo sugery on her vocal chords? Does anyone know if it's true; and, if it is, when did she have it done and what was wrong?
Any attempt to enlighten me, would be greatly appreciated.

I have a great interview for you to read, and she talks about the surgery she had on her vocal cords... Go here - http://www.lct.org/calendar/platform_detail.cfm?id_event=23918230 It's from a few years ago, but it's fabulous. Enjoy!
BTW, Kel, it's Heather from the Myspace group. :) Hi!

WHEW! Thanks for letting me know, I didn't want to piss Patti off, you know? Because she was just fantastic Tuesday night. She was clearly having fun that night, and I must say, it was pretty damn cool to have her make eye contact with me the whole night.

how bummed was i when i got to the theatre today and saw the signs all over the doors that she was OUT?!
SO bummed. especially because i had gotten the tickets for a friend for his birthday and the main reason he wanted to see it was just to hear her live. but i guess she was out yesterday, too. her understudy just did NOT do mrs. lovett justice.

Posted: 7/16/06 at 9:54pmThat sucks. I wonder if she's sick or just needs a break. I can't imagine doing Sweeney AND rehearsing for Gypsy! I'm crossing my fingers that she's in on the 22nd!

Posted: 7/16/06 at 10:10pmSpeaking of Driving Miss Daisy, the last time I saw the movie, I was probably 13 so I've forgotten a lot over the years. How big a role does she have? I know it's not huge by any means, but I mean does she pop up once or periodically? I have it, but haven't had time to revisit it.

Love your avatar. I used to stay up until 3am to watch the long version EVITA commercial.

Posted: 7/19/06 at 9:51pmchrrymn, stake out the theater beforehand. I don't remember where I read it, but it seems like I remember reading a post in the past couple of days where someone bought roses after the show and gave them to her at the stage door, so I'm assuming there's somewhere to procure them in the immediate vicinity of the Eugene O'Neill.

I just wanted to see if any of you were attending the final show on Sept. 3 at 7:00 PM? I'm so sad Sweeney is closing, but I'm excited to see the final performance.
I'll be in row C.
