Seth McFartjoke would definitely bring the smarm. He wouldn't need to act, he could just behave.

NPH as Hedwig Hill would be good.

He behaves just fine.

I agree, he's great in that he offends every single time of person in the world. I also think a lot of people didn't understand that most of the people he called out when he hosted the Oscars were in on the joke. He's great but I doubt he will do this.

I'm very anxious to see how Seth MacFarlane is in this. Great casting!

Well, in case Seth isn't available:

Why not Will and Grace? They were on NBC.

Just Jack and Megan Hilty. Although it'd be a shame to lose Seth.

Why not Seth and Just Jack?

America accepting gay pro football players is one thing, but your dream is a bit far off in the distance I think.

Plus, I don't think Seth is brave enough to do it.

Just as an aside, the last time it was on Broadway was in 2001. A few months after 9/11, I found tickets for 9/15/01 which I'd completely forgotten about.

I think it's great that they're confident enough about their live musicals to announce this even before Peter Pan airs. Hope there'll be more to come.

Okay, Charlie White would be great in CRAZY FOR YOU, but how about starring him in a revival of GEORGE M!

If Justin Timberlake would consider doing this, I think he'd be great.
Kristen Bell as Marion. She's red hot now as Princess Anna.

the Music Man

I think Kristen Bell would be great as Marion. I'm still on the Seth Macfarlane train. Timberlake isn't quite right...too pretty boy. (I love Macfarlane's rendition of "Ya Got Trouble" at the Proms-that's really great. He sells the song and has a great sense of character.)

Fox will not allow it.

Whatever happened to Seth McPoopJoke's The Flintstones remake? He'll be a great Henry Hill.

Also, you could create a hashtag: #HeyFoxWhyNotCastSethMacFforHaroldHill?

Seth singing "Ya Got Trouble" perfectly. Wow.

To be fair, I'm judging his ability to pull off Trouble based on his desire to lip sync NIcki Minaj, but I'm still picking Joseph Gordon Levitt as my Harold Hill.

Seth will kill it. I hope they record this!

Do people not understand how networks work? Neil Patrick Harris doesn't seem to be attached to a network now, so he's a more realistic choice unless NBC wants to hire people from within their family (so actors from NBC or USA). Would love to see Laura Benanti as Marian but obviously that's not happening. Kristen Bell would definitely be great.
Can Chris Pratt sing? He'd be my top choice from the NBC slate.
"Some people can thrive and bloom living life in a living room, that's perfect for some people of one hundred and five. But I at least gotta try, when I think of all the sights that I gotta see, all the places I gotta play, all the things that I gotta be at"
