Yay 300 posts of love for the show! I think they should do both "In The Heights" and "96,000" just um cut out Xanadu performance or something! BTW- Nothing against Xanadu just picking a show at random. :)
I have no idea if this has been posted already, but just in case, Freestyle Love Supreme is performing at Comix this Monday, April 21 @ 8 pm. Advance tickets are $15, at the door, $20.
They haven't done a show in awhile, so I'm pretty psyched.
Ugg... I wish that I was still in the city to see that With regards to the Tony preformance, I think that if Lin and Robin get nominated then they will do 96,000 but if it's only Lin then they will do the opening. They are both great choices.... I just really want Robin to get a nomination

Question for those who have been to Heights during BC/EFA time:
the most recent time I was there the collection speech from the stage included mention of BC/EFA, and the Phyllis Newman's Women's Health Initiative. There was also another organization mentioned that I don't remember the name of, and that I don't remember hearing before, a Latino related organization, that it was mentioned the Heights cast is involved with/collecting for. I was just on broadwaycares.org but I don't seem to be finding it- does anyone know what I'm talking about, what this organization/program is?
I think they mentioned that through Revolución Latina, they were going to give some money to organizations that deal with the same issues as BC/EFA in Latin America.

I chose, and my world was shaken- So what? The choice may have been mistaken,
The choosing was not...

^ Are those the cut-out things that are in the shapes of the characters? Like you can see them on the wall in the box office? If so I've been wondering where I could get those, so thanks for that info.

Yes, that is the group, R.Evolucion Latina. They have been working with people in Peru, Mexico and Guatemala. I found that Luis Salgado donated his time and directed/choreograph a show call Mezcla in Peru with kids from the streets. This particular event with BCFA will donate the money collected by ITH to a hispanic organization. I believe it was founded by Luis but also as part of the board is the AMAZING Robin De Jesus and Michael Balderrama who is also a director for R.Evolucion.
so is anyone else going to see freestyle love supreme?

So In The Heights' Joshua Henry is participating in this cool night of one-act shows and live music at The Cutting Room on April 28th, called "Keep It Short." He'll be acting in one of the one-shows and will be singing a song from the Broadway-bound musical, "Angels." Here's a link for more information:
"If there was a Mount Rushmore for Broadway scores, "West Side Story" would be front and center. It snaps, it crackles it pops! It surges with a roar, its energy and sheer life undiminished by the years" - NYPost reviewer Elisabeth Vincentelli
