I'm *almost* ashamed to admit that I have become addicted to this show...and now for my thoughts...
I think that, while I think Lauren is a stronger performer, Autumn is the most 'right' for the role of Elle. She has a strong voice, has professional experience, definitely has the acting chops, and is the most convincing as a law school grad.
Lauren, for an 18 year old, is incredibly talented and while I would love to see her win (she has been my favorite from the very first episode), I think that she needs a bit of experience with the show under her belt before taking-on Elle. I think either casting her in the tour, according to the word on the street, or casting her in the Broadway ensemble, would be the perfect step leading up to her as Elle, IMO...
Rhiannon, while she seems like such a sweetheart and definitely has some talent there, isn't up to par with the Broadway performers' status. Maybe in a couple of years, but I don't think she's right for it. Elle is a vocally and physically demanding role and right now Rhiannon wouldn't cut it.
Bailey looks perfect as Elle. But lately, that's about it. Yes, she can definitely dance her butt off and does have a strong voice, but I agree (*gasp*) with the judges when they tell her she isn't 'being' Elle. I feel like she is doing what she thinks they want her to do and isn't making the role her own.
I was sad to see Natalie go before Rhiannon.
I can't wait to see how the next couple of weeks play out...
