"Why...aren't they looking for great?"
They want sensational.

OMG WHY DID NATALIE GO? SHE CAN SING AND DANCE, OKAY HER ACTING WAS MEDIOCRE THIS TIME BUT THAT CAN ALWAYS IMPROVE! OMG IDK WHAT THEY SEE IN RHIANNON- I HATEE HER!!!
You know I noticed that both last week and this week the girl that has done the iamonmtv.com ads for the week has been the girl that gets cut. Wonder if that's just random or always like that.

Anyone having sound problems with the full performance videos?
While it was clear Natalie wasn't going to get the part, I think they should have sent Rhiannon home this week. She simply doesn't have the voice for this show. She couldn't get through that 3 minute song without cracking and straining, she could never got through 8 performances a week. Natalie has the voice, she just didn't give a good audition. It happens. Performers sometimes fall flat and don't do their best, and when that happens they deserve a second chance.
Bailey crying over her hair was quite possibly the most amazing thing of my life.
Mad props to Christian for staying clear of the show.
And although I love Rhiannon, she definitely deserved to go home instead of Natalie.

Autumn is definitely the only TRUE talent. Lauren is okay, but am I the only one who thinks she shouts a lot and squeaks before hitting the notes? There are by far girls in this business auditioning who are way better than her. Luck is just on her side. That's what this biz is really about.

Why can no one hit "drive"!?
Anyway, I already posted my thoughts from when the videos were posted a bit too early. Lauren and Autumn did the best, IMO.

Bailey's crying was absolutely rediculous. I literally looked at my mom after that happened and said, "that was the dumbest thing I've ever seen in my life."
& Rhiannon needs to go like now!!!

Rhiannon was really weak vocally so I don't understand why they chose her over Natalie. She was awkwardly scream-singing sometimes. Natalie cried at the rehearsal, but didn't really have much emotion... her vocals were much better than Rhiannon though.
Lauren I thought was not very strong acting though. Vocally she was fine, but she kept her arms folded the majority of the time.
I gotta be honest... I'm mainly watching to see which star from the show comes on the episode but I really can only see one person at this point. The rest are too young. By the time the end of the show hits, Elle is graduated from law school... meaning at least around 26 years old. Some of these girls just started college and don't even have that experience under there belt, so its harder to play a college graduate entering law school. While I realize age is sometimes only a number, ... or you don't need to experience it to play it, I see age as a factor in this competition.

Alison88: I disagree. Lauren is the best singer of the bunch, IMO.
I should have edited my earlier post: Lauren was the only one who could hit the "drive" note.
What the hell was Miss Duff wearing? I have to see the full performances because to me, Rhiannon was horrible. I loved Autumn- she seems to be the only one who can act. I love when Autumn "calls" Bailey out! Looks like we'll see more of that next week!
Autum really seemed to understand what she was singing. I saw a connection to what came out of her mouth unlike smiley. I would like to see her win, I feel like she is the most mature, but I forget how her dancing is. I have not seen anyone who has all three ... so who knows.
what i do know is the Sarah Bareilles commericals were fantastic.
Autumn impressed me for the first time.

well Lauren like swerved downward on the note. So idk if that counts as hitting it.
And whoever said she squeaks, i agree. I mentioned it earlier and someone said they heard no squeaking.
However, I do also believe Lauren is the 2nd best in the bunch. She's under Autumn of course =D

How could they keep her? I'm sorry but I'm still in shock....
Rhiannon's acting choices are good. Shame about the voice.

Lauren doesn't squeak. She spreads the tone at times, but that isn't being squeaky. Her singing could be refined, but she is only 18. She's still a much better singer than LBB and most of the other girls.
She's beautifully controlled on some of the notes. Like the first "legally blonde" and "smile." Then the last "legally blonde" which is quiet and just gorgeous.

Duff looked like Barbra Streisand during the performance sequence. It was scary!
Autumn killed that audition! :} She made clear specific choices that were different from LBB. I always like to see different. Go A-girl!

right before singing the start of a bunch of the lines, I hear a squeak. Or maybe you're thinking differently when I say squeak. It isn't during her singing that I hear a 'squeak' it's at the very start of a line. Everything else I agree is sung very well.

Huh, I'll have to listen very carefully.
I guess either way it's not enough to bother me. She can fix stuff like that later; she's very young.

... yes, at times Lauren can have a lovely sound to her voice, but it isn't consistent and she does squeak a lot.
