Bailey is clearly talented, but my problem with her is that not ONE moment is genuine.
It is perfectly clear that she is just imitating the performance she saw given by Bundy on television (down to every single over-mugged gesture.) She's got personality, but she won't be able to make a career off of a cheap imitation of someone else.
And vocally? It's a shame they've had to transpose the ending key of "So Much Better" for her so drastically, since we know some of the other girls that were on the program (especially Autumn) could hit it as written.
While I think Autumn is far superior (if an inept dancer,) it looks as if this just isn't the perfect fit for her in terms of role meeting actor.
I'm sure she'll find great success on the stage in the near future in something far better suited to her immensely gifted abilities.
Tonya Pinkins: Then we had a "Lot's Wife" last June that was my personal favorite. I'm still trying to get them to let me sing it at some performance where we get to sing an excerpt that's gone.
Tony Kushner: You can sing it at my funeral.
