I'm kinda bummed that Bailey wins. I think Autumn did REALLY well tonight, but it's obvious that the judges like Bailey more and they always have.
Let's look at it this way: Bailey is playing Elle Woods for two weeks and maybe longer if she's good. Autumn is in the ensemble and an Elle standby, but maybe she's getting a longer contract? I think Autumn is getting a really great deal even though she doesn't win. And what a compliment from Jerry Mitchell!
I really have to say that Bailey's voice is distracting. I thought she sounded horrible. I wouldn't pay to hear her sing, but I would Autumn, and I've never been an Autumn fan.

ucjrdude902, I don't know if they'll reveal it during the actual show, but it's most definitely true (which is why a swing has stepped into Becky Gulsvig's track since she left and not a permanent replacement.)
Tonya Pinkins: Then we had a "Lot's Wife" last June that was my personal favorite. I'm still trying to get them to let me sing it at some performance where we get to sing an excerpt that's gone.
Tony Kushner: You can sing it at my funeral.
I'm so glad Bailey won. Autumn's energy just isn't there - she's a bit too mature. There is an excitement that Bailey has that Autumn does not.
And she failed the ultimate acting test - she couldn't even pretend to look happy for Bailey when her name was called. She looked PISSED. Majorly.
ETA: It also annoyed the crap out of me the way Autumn squealed her head off after each song she performed. I thought she was supposed to be the seasoned professional of the two?

Well as guess the creative team wanted to stick with the same formula of the show when LBB was in it, since they chose her clone. During the entire series I just kept thinking how much she is mimicking LBB, with somewhat stronger vocals.

voice lessons for Bailey. Boo. Autumn should have won.
eta: Legally Blonde has proved in the past that they don't appreciate quality vocalists. (or scores.) It was silly to think it would be any different now. I'm a little bitter.

That sucks that USA Today leaked out the winner! What about the confidentiality contracts? I loved Autumn. It kinda ticked me off that Bailey said she didn't have to act like Elle Woods because she IS Elle Woods. If that's the case, I can't see her doing any other show in which she has to act. Autumn has been so close so many times. It had to have been sooo hard for her up there- I don't care how professional you are. What I am happy about is that Bernie got to see Autumn and since he is such a prolific casting director- he will remember her in the future (Although everytime I saw Bernie- all I could see was Gene Wilder as Willie Wonka!) At least Autumn will make her Broadway debut. Provided how long Bailey stays, Autumn will probably succeed Bailey as Elle. Perhaps the judges saw this as a better fit for her - she can work on her dancing skills.

Eww, can't believe Autumn lost. Bailey can't act. She is wayyyy too over the top. But oh well. Gonna keep an eye out for when Autumn will go on as Elle. If anyone knows any dates, PM me. Autumn should have definately won. Autumn was a natural actress, the better singer, and was a pretty good dancer too. Oh well, ow we have the malfunctioning LBB copy.
