Concierge- absolutely! I love that Kail basically allows the staging to happen all around her while she stands center stage and just commands your attention. The end, with her alone on stage, was particularly devastating.
Thanks Concierge! Thanks Chi!
From Newsweek, a really good article on Hamilton's being used in classrooms:
'Hamilton,' the Biggest Thing on Broadway, Is Being Taught in Classrooms All Over
Hamilton is the Broadway success story of the year, maybe the decade. And it’s about to become the hottest item on your 11th grader’s U.S. history syllabus. In classrooms from New York City, where the show packs the Richard Rodgers Theatre nightly, to the West Coast, Hamilton is making educators rethink how they teach early U.S. political history—and making students rethink how much they care.

Is Groff really only onstage for those 3 moments?
Yup. He lingers for like 30 seconds after "I Know Him" and has a brief cameo during "Reynolds Pamphlet," but that's it. If you look really closely into the ensemble during certain numbers in Act 2, he's in the background—but those three numbers are his only real times on stage.
Hi all,
First, wanted to mention that when I saw Hamilton back in August, I was in Row C of the mezz (on the aisle, right of center) and thought the view was great. My only slight complaint was that there was a sort of rectangular metal bar on the front of the mezz that didn't exactly block my view, but was a little distracting. However, I think this would only affect a small number of seats and I think that you'd be high enough in Row D so that it wouldn't be an issue.
Second, I was wondering if anyone has thoughts on exactly when in the Grammy broadcast the Hamilton performance might be? I know it's not the opening number. I really have no interest in the Grammys other than seeing this one number, so am hoping that it will happen early in the evening. If the cast is performing live from the Rodgers it seems that they would do it earlier in the evening so they don't have to hang around all night. Just wondering if anyone has any info. or thoughts (sorry if this has been discussed elsewhere; I did a search but nothing came up.) Maybe it would be best to just DVR it!

Yes! When I first went I had thought that Groff only came back out (dressed in white like the rest of the celestial chorus) right at the end for WLWDWTYS & bows, but last time I went I was seated very far house right, and noticed that he joins the dancers starting with Your Obedient Servant, but is on second level, all way stage right.
Somebody pointed out on a different thread that the website has changed its feature displaying the performances at which Javier will be playing Hamilton. His scheduled performance list, at the moment, goes up until only the very beginning of July. Anybody have any info beyond this?
I'm guessing that schedule is all that's available until contracts are renewed, perhaps. They can't state his or Lin's performance schedule until they know OFFICIALLY if they will still be in the cast.
Funny article! I'm not sure if the link will work because there's a paywall.
What’s Worse Than Getting Shot by Aaron Burr? Not Having Seen ‘Hamilton’
Government staffers find Broadway hit is a barometer of professional coolness
In conversation after conversation at a Manhattan cocktail party last fall packed with political types, Melissa DeRosa found herself suddenly panicked.
Ms. DeRosa, chief of staff to New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo, pretended to check her phone for email or take a call, anything to avoid disclosing a painful, personal secret: She hadn’t seen “Hamilton.”
In nearly every exchange, “this was the topic that came up during the first 15 minutes,” said Ms. DeRosa.
In political circles in New York, Washington and elsewhere, seeing “Hamilton,” the Broadway hit musical about one of the nation’s earliest politicians, has become an essential barometer of professional coolness.
People who figure out she hasn’t seen it tend to be appalled, Ms. DeRosa said. “It’s like the grown-up equivalent of sitting alone in the cafeteria.”
Aw... Tonight was Betsy Struxness' final performance.

She stood out in the ensemble with her amazing performance. She'll be missed.
Wow, is she the first member of the original cast to leave? (not counting Brian d'Arcy James obviously)
I'm sad I won't be able to see her in the ensemble when I see the show in June. I've enjoyed her presence in photos of the cast and her own on Instagram. I hope she does wonderful things!
There have been a number of assorted ensemble departures since opening (Neil Haskell last week comes to mind—he left for Tuck Everlasting), but I think Betsy is the most discernible ensemble member to leave yet. She is a truly wonderful performer and I want to know where she's off to next!

Two questions: who is replacing Betsy? And did she ever go on as Angelica?
I know the cousin of the person who is replacing Betsy.
and their name would be...
I only know their cousin. I don't know who they are. Lol
Would be interesting to know where Betsy is going. I see Daniel Watts has returned. He was on for Thayne Jasperson when I saw the show in November.
Have they been selling standing room at the box office?
I should really know this but does Lin perform Wednesday evenings?
he performs 7 times week, the only show he misses is either Sunday or Saturday matinees (I forget which one currently)
Wonder why she left? I thought they had year contracts.
Javilton's dates: March 19, March 27-30th (all shows), April 2nd (both shows). Generally, Javilton performs on Sun matinees until March 27th, then Sat matinees from April to June (the theatre will be dark on Sundays).
Lin seems to be going on his vacation on the week of March 27th, so Jon Rua will play A.Ham on 3/31 and 4/1?

Where is this update? I didn't see it on main page with Javier's schedule

She was in the show at the public and even did the workshop/lab. So she's been with the show for well over a year
