This situation was handled extremely poorly by LCT IMO. I don't know the LincTix situation, but I can speak to the regular Member Ticket situation.
LCT sends out a mailer about each show before the member pre-sale. In the mailer, it said that Kerry Washington was only going to be in the show until August 2nd. But neither the LCT website nor Telecharge said anything about this when Member Tickets went on sale. The exclamation points with Washington's absences were not there. The email LCT sent to members reminding them about the presale didn't say anything about it, either. I had forgotten about what it said in the mailer, and I bought a ticket for a later August date in the Member pre-sale. I am 100% sure that there was no mention on those websites on the day the Member Tickets went on sale.
I came across the mailer several days after the Member pre-sale had started, but before the general public sale date. At that time, there was still no mention on the websites about Washington's absence. I remember this because I thought that the lack of mentioning this may have meant that Washington changed her plans and was actually appearing in the entire run, so I asked on the phone if she was still leaving on August 2nd. I was told she was still leaving, and I changed my ticket, but I would not have needed to ask if the websites had told me.
I don't know when the exclamation points with the dates that Washington was out were added, but it was definitely not when Member Tickets first went on sale. And it still doesn't say anywhere at LCT.org that Washington will be out for half the run. I think there are going to be a lot of angry Members once August rolls around, which could have been completely avoided if they had put the exclamation points in from the very beginning.

"you can't run away forever...but there's nothing wrong with getting a good head start"
"well I hope and I pray, that maybe someday, you'll walk in the room with my heart"
