I want to write music. I want to sit down right now at my piano and write a song that people will listen to and remember and do the same thing every morning...for the rest of my life. - Jonathan Larson. Tick, Tick...BOOM!

I taped it last time but haven't had a chance to watch it yet. Watching now. I had to do a triple take at that very young George Hamilton! The smile tipped me off.
"Some of us have it worse, you know, Dana. Some of us are dating lesbian men. Okay? C'mon."
Set it up this morning before I went to work. Me & Mrs Roxy went there (& Rome & Venice) on our honeymoon in 1998. She loves Italy & since she is a believer in reincarnation & believes she lived in Venice as a 16 century courtesan to the painter Giorgione, it means more. Off to Chinatown Sunday to pick up a bogus Looie suitcase & than to the restaurant Giorgione. We see Paris Letter tomorrow as she has a major case of the hots for John Glover who I loved in the short lived TV series Brimstone.
It's good that they get the whole "secret" out of the way in the first ten minutes -- no need to build too much suspense around it. And Clara here has many more opportunities to demonstrate her child-like qualities than Lucas' book for the musical gives Kelli O'Hara, making her mental deficiencies much clearer.

Im watching it now.. Having never seen the show or movie before and only heard bits of the music and hoping to see the show in August... It makes me wonder is Matthew Morrison's accent authentic sounding or cheesy? And is there any difference between the movie and the show?
So glad I remembered this!! The movie is quite charming...
Sponsor me as I walk the Philadelphia AIDS Walk - Sunday, October 16, 2011. Many of our friends, family and neighbors are in desperate need of health care services and other life-saving programs, but with cutbacks in government dollars , these programs are often under-funded. Now, more than ever, your donations are needed to support organizations providing HIV/AIDS awareness, prevention education, counseling and testing and care services for people living with HIV/AIDS.

People, people, people! What is this "tape" and "VCR" talk? C'mon now, it's the 21st century. Time to embrace "DVR"s, and TiVo. VCRs are so 20th century.
I did a search on TiVo two weeks ago, found "Light in the Piazza", clicked "Record this Showing", and it's a-recordin' away. Then, of course, if I want to save it from TiVo storage to another medium, I can always download it to a videocassette or DVD. I'm tellin you, DVRs are the way to go. Don't get me started on how often I use the Pause and Rewind of live TV.
I tuned in just after it finished. I totally forgot! And apparently it isn't going to be on again until September 1st. Y'alls have to remember to remind me. K? And how was it?
It's eckspecially apropos
So if you really want to know
Do I love you?
Don't aks.
I rather enjoyed it more than I thought I would. A lot of it seemed word-for-word exactly like the book. It also lasted about as long as it took to read the book, so the effect was something like watching the pages jump out onto the screen.
I really liked it. I'm also a sucker for love stories, sooo ... I JUST got my Piazza CD today .. being that me had no money before now. Yay for gift cards!
The movie was adorable .. I wanted to slap the mother a couple of times .. the father was a &%$#^%%. Grr.
