I'm sorry my counterpart is evil. There have been no announcements yet about an extension. you can keep checking Broadway for Broke People.com. She usually keeps pretty good tabs on what is going on with when shows are closing.
Now, See OTHER CLYDE was that difficult. you could have just answered the question in a nice informative way. Your snarky remarks are really not funny or clever. I will be following you online until either the chemo kills me or the cancer does. You, my boy are a bully and need to be knocked down a few pegs. Have a great day.

Posted: 7/17/13 at 12:31amNot a chance. A TIME TO KILL moves in in October. I also remember reading that this was the final possible extension.

And I DO have a sense of humor, dammit.

Oh my god, look! As with every other show in history, people with different taste have different opinions.
I personally thought it was hilarious and had a great time. Clearly, it is not for everyone.

This will have an incredibly healthy regional life, though, given its small cast that skews older and unit set.
And it was one of the best plays on Broadway in years.

Posted: 7/17/13 at 8:22pmThis play is wonderful, pure and simple. Go if you possibly can. The haters must have had a bad day at work, a bad seat, a bad toothache, or all three.

"Will it tour?"
Probably not. It's more likely that they'll heavily shop the script to the bigger regional companies. This is a show that will probably do very well amongst the LORT theatres that have strong subscriber bases.

I'm in nyc next week and it is on my "finalists" list of shows to see.
i'm not really familiar with Chekhov. Is it still a show to see if I don't get the references? Will understand the humor?

Yes, see it anyways!!
It's a phenomenal and hilarious play. And the cast is divine. Most of the jokes related to Chekhov require a cursory knowledge of the subject matter at best and even if you know nothing, you'll still "get" 95% of the show.

"i'm not really familiar with Chekhov. Is it still a show to see if I don't get the references? Will understand the humor?"
Not a chance. This play is for Chekhov experts only.
That was sarcasm. It's a hilarious play, no matter what you know. Familiarity with Chekhov will give you an added kick.
Of course, familiarity with Chekhov isn't a bad thing; works the grey cells a bit more than watching re-runs of The Big Bang Theory.
