Another vote for AVENUE Q.
Looking forward to WICKED, but it will have to be very, very good to top A-Q in my heart.

Favorite Show that's been open for a while- Hairspray/Millie/42nd Street...its a tie, though I'm quite partial to Hairspray right now.
Favorite New Show This season So Far- Little Shop Of Horrors. We'll see what Wicked can do-hehe.

Personally, I have to wait for the recordings, which sucks! I am looking foward to LSOH and Wicked. A lot of the news shows sound good.

how is this thread different than the previous ongoing "What's your favorite show?" (though i'm glad to see a few more AVENUE Q's here than showed up there)
Will: They don't give out awards for helping people be gay... unless you count the Tonys.

Though I haven't seen Wicked, that has to be my favorite.

It's still early into the season, so I'd have to respond by saying most eagerly awaited. In the next two weeks I'll be seeing Wicked, Never Gonna Dance, and The Boy From Oz. Of the three, I just can't wait to see Never Gonna Dance the most. I just got my sampler CD and I love it! Great tunes, the story sounds good, (I never saw the movie, but I will search it out soon), I even love the logo. And I could only imagine the choreography and costumes. I've a funny feeling this is gonna be the sleeper hit of the year.

I inferred from the wording "this season" that we were looking for new (this season's) musicals, rather than just overall favorites. But maybe I was wrong?
Editing to add: "Favorite show" would include straight plays as well. This thread is for musicals. (I'm trying

that thread has the same criteria actually. There is a "search function" to help posters find out if what they want to talk about is already covered in a previous thread, which they can add to and bring back to the top of the listing.
