1. "I Will Never Leave You" from the Side Show cast album (53 plays) 2. "Off to the East" from the Unlock'd demo recording (45 plays) 3. "Here I Am" from the Dirty Rotten Scoundrels cast album (41 plays) 4. "As We Stumble Along" from The Drowsy Chaperone (39 plays) 5. "The Song of Purple Summer" from Spring Awakening (37 plays)
I find this list quite curious. I didn't like Spring Awakening, yet it must've subconsciously worked its way into my mind. Oh well.
"Franklin Shepard Inc." - Merrily We Roll Along OBC - 71 "Ever After" - Into the Woods OBC - 41 "Finale/Children Will Listen" - Into the Woods OBC - 34 "Overture and Night Waltz" - A Little Night Music OBC - 34 "Company" - Company OBC - 33
Um. All Sondheim. I guess that's a good thing. Or maybe it just means that I'm a snob. I should go rock out to some ALW...
Tell Me on a Sunday from Song & Dance and We Do Not Belong Together from Sunday are tied with 4
You're reminding me of people you hear at the movies asking questions every ten seconds, "Who is that? Why is that guy walking down the street? Who's that lady coming up to him? Uh-oh, why did that car go by? Why is it so dark in this theater?" - FindingNamo on strummergirl
"If artists were machines, then I'm just a different kind of machine...I'd probably be a toaster. Actually, I'd be a toaster oven because they're more versatile. And I like making grilled cheese" -Regina Spektor
"That's, like, twelve shows! ...Or seven." -Crazy SA Fangirl
"They say that just being relaxed is the most important thing [in acting]. I take that to another level, I think kinda like yawning and...like being partially asleep onstage is also good, but whatever." - Sherie Rene Scott
"Suddenly", Xanadu "Heaven on their minds," Murray Head, Jesus Christ Superstar
Coach Bob knew it all along: you've got to get obsessed and stay obsessed. You have to keep passing the open windows. (John Irving, The Hotel New Hampshire)
My first one is A Little Priest, then Walk Like A Man, then Omigod You Guys, then Totally F**ked, and lastly, I'll Cover You from Rent. It's all over the board. Besides, it was a tie for last with He Vas My Boyfriend!
I'm not sure exactly, because I convert to MP3 after I purchase from itunes, then they go into my phone, but here is an estimated list:
1. Alone from Young Frankenstein 2. Mr. Fezziwigs Annual Christmas Ball from A Christmas Carol 3. Human Stuff from The Little mermaid (DEMO) 4. Mr. Cladwell from Urinetown 5. I Wish I Could Go Back to College from Avenue Q
If we were considering all songs, however, the most played song from my MP3 player would be, without a doubt, the Credo from the Mozart Coronation Mass....AWESOME piece! Love me some Mozart!
I don't have or listen to a whole lot of show tunes on my iPod, but my #1 right now is "I Hope I Get It" on the Original Broadway album. I've listened to it only 24 times, the last being over a year ago.
#2 is "Look What Happened to Mabel" from MACK AND MABEL.
"If you are going to do something, do it well. And leave something witchy."-Charlie Manson
I'm gonna do top 5 as well. 1. Meadowlark - Patti Lupone 2. Perfect - Julia Murney 3. As We Stumble Along - Drowsy Chaperone 4. Stars and Moon - Audra 5. He Touched Me - Barbra
tied for me are "i'm alive" and "let there be light" from Next to Normal
"Sometimes on the strip, the dreams you come in with, ain't the dreams you leave with" ~Rock of Ages
"I'm a butterfly, trivial and small, and in the greater scheme of things, I don't mean much at all." ~The Story of My Life
"Forget Regret, or life is yours to miss." ~Rent
"Rebecca, Reprise" from Rebecca "I Just Wanna Dance" from Jerry Springer "Monkeys and Playbills" from [title of show]
not from shows, but film and television: "Share the Joy" from Lost Horizon (thanks besty!) "Sandman" from Cop Rock
"Carson has combined his passion for helping children with his love for one of Cincinnati's favorite past times - cornhole - to create a unique and exciting event perfect for a corporate outing, entertaining clients or family fun."
Raul's "Being Alive." And, surprisingly, that's the only musical theater song in the top 25 currently. Just following are "I Was Here" from The Glorious Ones as sung by Brian Stokes Mitchell and "Be On Your Own" from the revival cast recording of Nine (oddly).
I know "30/90" from TTB and "Christmas Bells" from Rent are up there pretty high on my iPod, though.
"Great Big Stuff" from Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, which is weird because I know I listened to "Here I Am" nonstop for at least a month when I got the CD. Then again, I don't often listen to music straight from my iTunes library as opposed to listening on my iPod, so it's not a hard contest to win.
From march 07 to september 07 (which is when i finally saw the show) I had an obsession with spring awakening and because of it the top 7 songs are from spring awakening. The number 1 overall top played is bitch of living followed by mama who bore me but my favorite song in the show Touch Me is number 6.
<------ Me and my friends with patti Lupone at my friends afterparty for her concert with audra mcdonald during the summer of 2007.
"I am sorry but it is an unjust world and virtue is only triumphant in theatricle performances" The Mikado
My top played is Her Voice from the Little Mermaid but thats just because I let it run on repeat and turned the volume off so I didn't know it was still going...lol
