A recent picture of Eden taken after she sung her face off on YouTube. I just love the way she did her hair.

Eden was an absolutely terrific Elphaba in Wicked...
I saw one show where she went offstage during the one short day number after obviously gutting it out through Wizard and I and not feeling good at all.
One minute later out popped Felicia Ricci, who had done her "put-in" a few days earlier, and this was her first official week as standby.
I love live theatre!
Felicia did great, and they announced the replacement during intermission.
Felica wrote a fun blog and book about her adventures called"Unnaturally Green"
clever and fun insiders look at musicals, from someone doing their first show out of college.
Only time Ive ever seen a lead replaced mid-act
it was pretty cool
Anyone else seen leads replace in mid-act?

"Was she in hairspray?"
Not on Broadway... I think you might have her confused with Harvey Fierstein. Common mistake.

I think you're thinking of Shoshana Bean, her friend. Eden is a very talented young lady and seemed sweet when I met her. I wish her all the best.
who was she supposed to play in hair? I know she also was offered Fantine somewhere, but ended up not taking it.
Saw her when she took over Wicked's sit down production in San Francisco. Apparently, nobody ever told her that you have to act in addition to sing in order to be good. I've seen paper bags act better (admittedly though, it was an award winning paper bag so that may be unfair)
I don't think I've seen her in anything other than Brykln (or however it's spelled) and lord, everything about it was gawd-awful! One of the worst things I'd ever seen.

"She's teaching at NYU"
She claims that on twitter, but if you go to NYU's website, she's not listed anywhere under any of the faculty listings or class rosters. Considering Eden doesn't even have a basic college bachelor's degree let along a masters degree (which most universities require to be a professor), I'm thinking she guest lectures at best.

Yes, as a visiting instructor, not as a professor. Typically exceptions can be made for visiting instructors, not full time faculty. I doubt Eden teaches full time with her lack of college degree.
While Sutton may lack a degree she does have Tonys, something Eden most definitely does not.
Here's the NYU drama school's list of faculty (among which even visiting instructors are listed):
http://drama.tisch.nyu.edu/page/faculty.html#E
Notice no listing for Eden? The directory lists professors, adjunt professors, instructors, visiting instructors, basically every level of teachers they have and Eden is nowhere to be found. Hence why I say she's a guest lecturer at best.

I still have the burning image of her screaming The Wizard and I in my mind, and I doubt anything can be done to replace it, sadly.
Those of us who've been screamed at by her onstage will likely never be able to forget it. Sadly.
She lacks a certain subtlety, I think.
I have a subtlety that she lacks, I think.
I like her very small contributions to Bright Lights Big City.

Did she ever claim to be a professor?
She was to have played Sheila in the Broadway transfer of Hair. She backed out due to the fact that the cast was being paid equity minimum. Allegedly!

Phillypinto- The "Yes, as a visiting instructor, not a as a professor" comment was referring to Sutton Foster (since you had made a comment that Sutton lacked a college degree but taught there). It was Sutton that was listed as a visiting instructor in their directory and whom I was talking about, not Eden. Sorry if that wasn't clear, hopefully that makes my comment make more sense.
Eden on the otherhand is nowhere to be found in the NYU faculty directory. And their faculty director is very exhaustive and lists every possible level of "teacher", from department head to professor to instructor to adjunct teacher. No, she never claimed to be a professor, but she did claim to be a teacher there. Which my point was since she lacks any kind of college degree I find that claim highly unlikely. To be a teacher in any capacity at a major university one usually needs a college degree, but for someone of Sutton's stature and accomplishment an exception could be made. Since Eden lacks this stature and accomplishment it seemed highly unlikely to me that this would be the case.
And according to NUY's faculty directory, she is not a teacher there (nor a professor). I can claim to be many things on social media, doesn't make it true.
