So What's next for the Marquis Theatre?
Evita isn't closing is it? Rogers and Martin are just leaving the show.
I think the producers announced that the show will close instead of casting new replacements.
Uncageg, they are closing on January 26th. There was a breaking news article on this site.
Not for good, just wanted to post that cuz I love proving people wrong
After you told all of us to fvck off, I never thought we'd hear from (this screen name) again!
Quiche2 you promise me you were not going to post here any more but you lied. Why do you always lie? You shame me. I am ashame!

Wasn’t there a rumor the Evita Revival wanted the Marquis?

What’s with all of these super old threads being dug up recently? This is at least the 3rd one I’ve seen in the last few days.
Like I said in the other thread, they could put a concert in there like with The Jonas Brothers or since it’s a Nederlander House, if they bring back “A Christmas Carol”, it would be a good fit for it.

Cause a lot of people get mad when people start a new thread about a conversation that's already happened.
This would be a great space for a concert series.

What big shows might be coming in?
Is there anything from London looking to transfer to NYC?
Isn’t there a tour that could make a broadway stop? Les Mis?

That’s usually when someone starts a new thread instead of replying to the thread from a few days prior. Not when the thread is 11 years old.
Someone probably plops down a holiday show in here for Nov/Dec.

What damage do you figure was done in responding to this old thread rather than creating a new one?
I remember Wicked/NBC using the Marquis Theatre for their 15th anniversary tv special, is there anything TV related in the works for the 20th anniversary? Maybe they’ll use the Marquis again.

I'd love to see a big broadway tv event like the wicked special - broadway does Christmas! live on NBC
Well with the writer's strike ongoing I think it's doubtful we'll see any of that.
Wonder if they ever floated a day-to-day docuseries of a Broadway performer? feel like that would have an audience.
