I think it was Taylor Louderman and LaChanze! Thoughts?

I think it was LaChanze and Jessie Mueller, but who knows?!
I don't understand the question. Do you mean they cancelled each other out?

What happen this year, when we got the unprecedented sixth nominee, was that the lowest scoring two of the possible nominees both received an equal amount of votes from the nominating committee, And were there for both nominated because a clear fifth Place nominee was not decided.
I think I was Mueller and Kilgore
Surprised to see people saying Mueller. I personally am not much of a fan of hers (as I've said many times before on this board), but the Tonys seem to love her, and it's a very meaty role. I definitely wouldn't have guessed her as one of the bottom 2.
I figure it had to be some combination of Kilgore, LaChanze, and Louderman. My guess would be Louderman and LaChanze. I know lots of people love Louderman's performance - I'm not of that camp, so maybe I'm biased. But I also think hers is the least "leading" of the 6, and also requires the least acting. I haven't seen LaChanze's performance, but I'd guess her because the show was largely ignored, so it makes sense that she would have just barely gotten in.

Thanks for explaining quizzking. :)
Considering the love for CAROUSEL and MEAN GIRLS I’d wager that Kilgore & LaChanze (ironically) were the tie.
I would say definitely LaChanze and either Loudermann or Kilgore.
I think everybody saw Ambrose, Lenk, and Kilgore as "locks" throughout the season. Then, as Carousel kept getting love during awards season (as wrong as I think it was), it looked more and more likely that the Tonys would continue to show love for Mueller. So, I think it was Louderman and LaChanze.
As much as it baffles me, seeing as Jessie's role was slashed so much by the bizarre direction of this production of Carousel (no fault of hers), it does seem like she was pretty solidly in there. So probably LaChanze and either Taylor or Hailey (probably Hailey, given how beloved Mean Girls ended up being in the nominations department).

I think it was Louderman and LaChanze. Kilgore was a lock for me since the beginning of the season, it's hard for me to imagine even Mueller getting more initial votes than her.
The six nominees were Katrina Lenk, Lauren Ambrose, Hailey Kilgore, LaChanze, Taylor Louderman, and Jessie Mueller.
We'll never really know the results but it's highly unlikely it would be Katrina Lenk since she won the Tony. I doubt it's Jessie Mueller since she's been nominated a few times before and Tony nominators seem to love her. Same for LaChanze. Thing is we didn't really know whether Hailey was eligible for Best Actress in a Leading or Featured role until this spring. (Back in early 1990s in the original production of OOTI LaChanze was nominated for featured role.)
I think the two who tied are Taylor and Hailey.
LaChanze and Kilgore
I think it was between LaChanze given all the critical backlash against Summer and Jessie Mueller given how many people thought she felt wasted as Julie Jordan. While Carousel still received 11 nominations overall, I probably wouldn't be surprised if it actually came fourth or fifth place in some of its nominations given the divided response.

I agree with Jeffrey. Julie Jordan's role was probably smaller than Carrie's in this production. I think, however, that there were only two sure things: Lenk and Ambrose. Of course, that may be a bias on my part, as I thought they gave the two best performances in a musical hands-down.
